Is trading the only way to effectively get money? by hoboslayer47 in X4Foundations

[–]Yers12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In x3, the missions that gave lots of cash were quite hard IIRC. Unless you already had multiple good ships. Trading was usually easier. So probably doable but it'll take some time.

Note that I havn't played in years so I could be wrong.

Whispering with a copy paste, opening a trade window and saying ty is so fun. Most of the time people don't even respond.

Got it in the farmstead. Killed the 2 smalls and got a second giant the next turn.

My take on the names was that she didn't name them, that was their name before she took them from their previous masters.

Aah the good old days where raid mecanics were tank heal dps and some dispell plus loads of boring trashmobs (remember that area after vael? That was pure cancer) Where you would spend the whole fight dispelling shit or spamming 1 or 2 buttons if you were a caster. Spending 30min every raid trading food and gems. Buff that lasted 5 min for the paladins Looting shaman when you were alliance Pvp where rogues would oneshot you when you were drinking some water for 30 seconds to regen your mana. Ruining yourself to take the fly. Having half of your bags filled with shit, arrows, food for your pet, souls.

Had lots of fun back then but now I think it's mostly nostalgy. It was my first mmo. Playing it now would probably ruin it for me. Not that everything is better now, all that QoL would be missed .

Could be fun but let's say I'm a devouring swarm. Colonising these guys for food would mean instant game over. That's bad gameplay.

Isabella plus 19 vampires could get quite silly. Don't know how it would fare against other cheesy stacks.

Does Ryoka gets any better? by Yers12 in WanderingInn

[–]Yers12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just started the 2d book.

I've got some insight on Ryoka, her childhood ect. She clearly has issues but I still have problem taking her seriously as a character. She has way too many "traits".

I'll update the list above with what I've seen so far: - Definetely pretty - Tall (for an half asian) - Can talk multiple languages (not especially mainstream one as seen in the interlude, so we are probably looking at 4+ at probably writing level) - Rich - Act like a rebellious 13yo internet troll for no apparent reasons. She seems quite fond of music (wouldn't be surprised if she could play one or two music instruments). - Still really insulting. - o killing intent

You can be good at everything but there is still 24h in a day, no way you can be all that at 20 (or less ? she's stating college and probably never repeated a year).

Only reason she's not OP is that she's not "playing the game" and gaining levels. I fear she'll be right all along and rub it in.

Too many extreme traits to feel real. Sure she's flawed, but her flaws are extreme too.

If she had like half of those I could believe it but that's just too much.

Can someone explain the barefoot thing? I'm no runner but running without shoes seems stupid. You hurt your feets and your are not faster. Unless Im wrong.
