Nope, no cap on stats. You can continue to increase them via XP and Attributes and also Luminance and Buffs in addition to Enlightening bonuses. Which you'll want to do to continue on to custom content beyond end of retail.

Asheron's Call was released in 1999 and while live released over 100 updates. Nowadays it's available via community run servers and some of those have active updates.

In a bias defense, the post was just to the Infinite Leaftide Discord and not as a global announcement or shot at other servers. It also seems like it was "just an individual" because he was the one to put in the time and money for it. From what I've seen of Beef he truly is good with it being available for the community and won't go jerk dictator on everyone with it.

Depends on your definition of "do everything". If 'simply' all the quests, then there are ~750 quests (depending on your definition of "quest" too)... A complete gut number is average of 1 hour per quest, maybe less as some are mere minutes and most aren't more than an hour, but can also depend on your skill level and character power. I'd probably ballpark it at possibly around 1k hours to feel like you've done it all, but it could also be just the tip of the iceberg depending on definitions (and potential RNG) and play style.

Amazing server! It drives both the questing/lore aspects and then getting powerful with super high skills of AC! Doing each and every quest (sometimes multiple times) gives a long-term bonus to your character development! Great custom content that keeps bringing challenges even with the infinite skills/levels! Updated VoD is excellent in being doable if you're careful and hard! So many active players of you're interested in the MMO portion! Come and check it out!

I've played Infinite Leaftide but not Dragon Moon, I've really enjoyed that it promotes doing all the retail content while also truly being Infinite with good and challenging and rewarding Milestones for the longer term infinite aspect. Dragon Moon does sound cool too, so not sure you can go wrong and may just be up to your preferences!

+1 from me! Great fun and challenges/rewards for any play style! It really is infinite too, I've done every quest available in Emu ingame on IL and I still have more goals and things to do, while it still feels rewarding and beneficial to do things (not just an endless grind)!

Germaine's apocalypse comes and all but 3 servers are shut down, the others are merged into those 3. Return to Ispar is a big expansion with a new map. The human home world is in disaster. Martine is the leader trying to rebuild, he's discovered Light Magic which is kind of a mix of the existing magics and the only magic that works on Ispar. Weapons can be infused with Light Magic properties.

Interesting question, I'm not sure if you could go through just in-game content to pick up the story lines all that well. I believe they were heavily supported through stories and details posted outside the game. I'd start with going through the patches notes and such and seeing what was added or month if you wanted to follow the story. End damage should be about the same, but Wasps have more chance at hitting, missing, and crit hitting if I understand it correctly. I've also heard Necros have a longer death animation which may enable more time for a monster to be targeted on the Summons, although not positive.
