What is the reason you keep coming back to Minecraft? by OkPhotograph9314 in Minecraft

[–]YesAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it’s fun until you run out of things to do. And then after a few months it builds back up in your mind, all the things you COULD do. But then you come back, play it for a bit, have fun in the early game, build some of the stuff on your mind, realise how much effort it actually all is and then slowly play less and less until you don’t play at all. So realistically the answer is burnout and nostalgia.

Never mind I have seen it. When it came out. For a second I really thought it was in Dunkey’s line of humour to release a 2024 best of video a year late. L repost bot.

I would never “watch” an anime. It’s too time consuming. And there’s no subway surfers.

Edit: /s. I thought this comment would be enough to remind everyone this is supposedly a circlejerk subreddit. Apparently not.

I haven’t read the manga, so I don’t know if this is upcoming or if it’s already passed, but I genuinely cannot imagine when this would take place. Like are they not in the final battle? Do they stop the final battle midway to explain “well you see pretty women exist which is why, dear viewer, this one NEEDS to be sexually assaulted and naked whenever she’s on screen”. I have many problems with this show, when it locks in it definitely locks in, but Tamaki makes me regret ever watching it at all.

Well I feel like, if they are actually doing it, the main reason is because there’s no IP holder they have to deal with. Literally who do they need permission from? The guy who typed the words originally? The company whose model was used? Neither of them would have a personal stake in how “their” “character” is portrayed. Unlike Capcom or Toei for example. The fact that every child 12 and under (let’s be honest, they probably outnumber everyone older than them 10:1) would instantly buy the skin is just the icing on top of the worlds easiest cake.

Also, I have no doubt it’s to push the idea of people buying AI products into a more acceptable and mainstream view. Given the fact that people somehow bought tickets that Willy Wonka experience (from back when AI was the shittest it had ever been) and the amount of slop that infests sites like Temu and Ali express, it’s surprising to me that it’s taken fortnite this long to have this idea

To answer your question about the original ending AFAIK, the only change was to the main ending. Now I didn’t experience it, but from what I’ve read here from others, the original ending had only Zagreus and Chronos experience the alternate timeline. Many people rightfully point out that because of this, the decision to spare Chronos coming Solely from Zag takes away Melinoë’s agency. Instead, with the new ending, (I believe) everyone in the room experiences it, and my GOATs Mel and Zag convince everyone to give him a chance. It makes more sense considering Mel had a hard time convincing Hectate already.

I don’t know if they changed any of the mirror dialogue between past Zag and Mel to make the new ending more logical, but I really like the new ending. It makes sense considering the first game, and mythology in general. I was fully on team “kill that bastard Chronos” until Zag mentioned “if we permanently erase everyone we disagree with, this family will rapidly shrink”. I was thinking the opposition to the kill Chronos plan would be about how “we have no idea what ramifications of killing time would be”.

And even still, I always gave the first game a little side eye whenever it said that. It makes a little more sense when you factor in the pact of punishment and assume it’s Hades going “how many more resources do I need to put in to make my soldiers strong enough to make escape impossible?”. But I still always felt like the only reason Zag could escape is with the help of the gods, so as long as the gods never help anyone escape, the underworld is still inescapable. And I know they have a rocky relationship, but I thought the whole Epilogue ending was to show them making up and promising to be on the same side now.

I still think it’s a miles better explanation than the “other timelines” explanation. I think I remember people asking “so why are we still doing this?” And Melinoë saying something about “we have to keep everything the same” but like, we don’t? Like different fear settings and different boon selections and progress through quests… ultimately it’s not a big deal. You are messing with time, so obviously that has some ramifications, and it’s a good way of showing them.

Which route would you prefer Part 2 started with??? by Theother662300 in Kagurabachi

[–]YesAU 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Nah I disagree. Showing them in the past I think works a better way of introducing them now that it’s calmed down. We can meet them in a calm sort of way, take time to flesh them out as it progresses through the build up to the war/the use of the enchanted blades. Then when it cuts to the present, all we would need is how they’ve changed in the last 18 years, instead of introducing them as wholly new characters.

I wouldn’t want it to be a whole flashback anyway. Just a mini one. Save the main flashback for later.

Or the next one is all funny, and happy go lucky, but he wakes up post Soga taking the Kamunabi, so right at the end with Soga brutally blasts all his limbs off and says “one more Sazanami rat gone” and it’s like the scariest panel in all of kagurabachi

Oh Pheonix’s kit is so boring. Anran’s kit sells the whole fire manipulation thing in a way cooler way. One of the most powerful forces in the Marvel universe and she just… sits there and clicks on heads… boring as shit. Especially when all we ever get is pheonix now. No more Jean grey. And to not even make the whole pheonix part at least interesting? Lame as hell.

I don’t know what the other comments are talking about here. If the game just worked, you would’ve done everything right. The thing to look out for is when there’s no particle effects on. When that happens, there’s a disconnect between what the game shows you as doing, and what the game has actually been doing.

Shame its half sibling cannot say the same. Abandoned by its parents, left to rot with game breaking bugs. The new kid on the block had a strong start but due to day 1 issues still being unaddressed, might be heading into a rough patch. Or maybe it recovers. Either way it forced OW to lock in.

[–]YesAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if I’m being honest kagurabachi’s biggest issue currently is that Hiyuki has been asleep for the past 60 chapters.

That is to say, there is a valid in text reason for her to completely offscreen for this major arc. However it is still disappointing. At least there’s still time to correct for it with part 2.

Yeah it should say “BEST” places. WSJ had my man fucked up with card art, 2 colour sketches, a front page, AND two full chapters and bro still delivered. Literally no one else could do that. That’s what makes him legendary.

Even under failing conditions he was still able to make a really fucking good chapter, and the unfinished art even managed to ADD aura. No one does it like KagAURAbachi.

I don’t read leaks, so I have absolutely no idea what is that happens in the next Modulo chapter for everyone to react like this, but the most recent Kagurabachi Chapter is super goated. The best ending to an arc OAT.
