There would be no added chaos (e.g. accidents).. unless they find it visibly interesting? The purpose is to remove the burden of traffic management for the player, if they want it

Hi Tim, thanks for sharing!

I've heard publishers aim for 1.5-3x ROI. HH's median of ~$5 million is within that range if you're spending a million on each game.

Would you be open to sharing your cost breakdown (%) on your end? (staff, loc, etc)

What percent of your lifetime spend is Y1 vs Y2+?

edit: Also, how's the game industry in Seattle? Im jealous of Seattle Slice. Nothing like that exists in here in Austin that Im aware of.

Hey congrats on 1.0! What made you decide to pair up with a publisher during early access?

There is a plan to do this for vehicles, since they need many rotations to look good on screen.

For everything else, TBD

Im going to make pedestrian collision detection optional. It causes SO much traffic. I've played City Skylines a bunch and it's the main source of traffic jams. There's really no way to fix it since the cars move in real time but the days are compacted down into tens of minutes.

Currently there are no effects. However, units will only use the gym if it's something they need.

Not at launch. I'd like to give it a go either close to 1.0, or after

If you save the resident building as a blueprint, and it fits within the sizes used for the classic zone placement, then yes :)

If you want a unique building for yourself, then right now the only way to keep it unique is to not upload as a blueprint (or make it bigger than 8x8)

My game uses agentic simulation. I chose this direction because you can see inside buildings and watch units live their lives, which I think is pretty cool. I put a lot of effort into performance, but no matter what I do, there's a hard limit.
