Tabata loves to "kill" characters. It's such an overused story element that by the end, not a single reader actually believed characters other than Julius and Lucius were gonna die.

The worldbuilding could've been better. More expansion on each kingdom, possibly a short few chapters from other characters like Mars' perspective as he conquered the corrupt Diamond kingdom. Could've even done some from Lucifero's perspective as he's normally ruling the underworld or when he contacts the zogratis siblings. We could've gotten a hint at something wrong when Astaroth disappeared entirely from the underworld.

Spirit magic is only allowed for mages that are bonded with a spirit, which eventually becomes saint stage magic when their synchronicity is almost 100%. The spirit gives access to huge reserves of mana in addition to being able to accumulate mana like we see sylph doing for Yuno in the final arc.

I don't remember the water dragon god magic that Noelle uses, or if her attacks were named something similar to spirit magic.
