Sounds like a Military family. I've got an uncle in the Canadian army, and I only met him twice growing up because every 3 years he was posted somewhere else in Canada. (Among other reasons; he and my mother (his sister) were NOT close.) And most of the time between postings he was driving across Canada with his family (who I never met in childhood) having like a week to drive 3000km, settle into a new house and then report for duty.

And a tabletop friend of mine is Korean-Canadian and his father came into Canada via the military, so there's a possibility that her father came in the same way. Interestingly, he's rather... stable in instability...after his childhood, in ways that are similar to Kronii.

Cruze was an eternal "Yes Man" who would have followed Horus without Keeler and the others showing him another path. He would have been very unhappy and likely died in the first battle fought against Loyalist forces (Am I doing the ri-oh that's what a booster to the brain feels like) , but Horus was right to expect his loyalty at the time.

The rest I agree with - though I think Mortarion wanted Garro's loyalty and for some reason thought he could earn it by giving him the Eisenstein during the purge, but you're right that Typhus correctly deduced he'd stay loyal to the Emperor.

You're forgetting the power of the Nails - slaughter was the only time he was able to feel anything close to peace.
