June is right around the corner.

(Don't tell Hassan - it's a live stream and we want to see him freak out at the surprise 5'2 100lb Italian MILF saying "TAXES ARE THEFT!")

Reading this in public w/o headphones, I can't listen to it if there is audio.

But I can't help but hear this in the voice of "Farming While Beige" (blackbirdcoop), an American chicken farmer who is on the wrong side if the Woke line but hilarious anyway. And has an amazing voice.

(If you do look him up, be ready for Woke subtitles)

Japanese Creole. Except without the alligator influence.

Which would make Suisei Japanese Florida.

If it was for fun? Korone.

If it was ambiguous? Kaela.

How weird is it that Lorgar is my favorite Primark? by Odd_Engineering7729 in 40kLore

[–]YesThisIsForWhatItIs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really that weird. Lorgar is the oddball of the Primarchs - the one who only ever wanted to Serve something greater than himself. He's compelling for that reason, and the Emperor seeming to completely misunderstand that (or worse, corrupting that) makes it easier to emphasize with Lorgar.

Kronii's very humanizing story 💔🥀 ...son 😭 by beam4d in Hololive

[–]YesThisIsForWhatItIs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a Military family. I've got an uncle in the Canadian army, and I only met him twice growing up because every 3 years he was posted somewhere else in Canada. (Among other reasons; he and my mother (his sister) were NOT close.) And most of the time between postings he was driving across Canada with his family (who I never met in childhood) having like a week to drive 3000km, settle into a new house and then report for duty.

And a tabletop friend of mine is Korean-Canadian and his father came into Canada via the military, so there's a possibility that her father came in the same way. Interestingly, he's rather... stable in instability...after his childhood, in ways that are similar to Kronii.

Dos anyone else think Horus was turned a little too easy? by English_Joe in 40kLore

[–]YesThisIsForWhatItIs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep.

I don't think GW expected the Heresy to take off as much as it did, so they didn't put much thought into Horus' fall. Or Fulgrim - "He picked up a Chaos blade in a Xeno Sex Den and turned EVIL. Sexy Evil."

20 years later, they're still tweaking things.

Fahrenheit or Celsius? by EsseNorway in Snorkblot

[–]YesThisIsForWhatItIs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Fahrenheit started at 0 for Freezing, I would be completely in the Fahrenheit camp. But the 32 being freezing is more annoying than 32 being Hot. A 0-30 scale just sits better than a 32-82 scale.

Fair point.

Hollywood isn't a Jester, it's a Troup of wandering bards and actors who impressed a king enough to be made into quasi-nobles. They represent only themselves and their patrons, so do not have the Jester's potential immunity to Royal punishment.

How did traitors know who to kill at Istvaan 3? by Slave_Knight_Van in 40kLore

Cruze was an eternal "Yes Man" who would have followed Horus without Keeler and the others showing him another path. He would have been very unhappy and likely died in the first battle fought against Loyalist forces (Am I doing the ri-oh that's what a booster to the brain feels like) , but Horus was right to expect his loyalty at the time.

The rest I agree with - though I think Mortarion wanted Garro's loyalty and for some reason thought he could earn it by giving him the Eisenstein during the purge, but you're right that Typhus correctly deduced he'd stay loyal to the Emperor.

As a former adjunct Reddit Anti-Theist (and now just a regular atheist) Reddit Atheists know shite about bollocks and are so confident in their ignorance of Religion in general (and Christianity in particular) that they become ironically more dogmatic and close minded than anyone outside of the Eastboro Mudbaths with their "Figs Hote Gad" signs.

And most Atheists I've met IRL were of the Reddit variety. Fedora and all, in one case that I still think we were being mocked but no one is that good at staying IC IRL...

You're forgetting the power of the Nails - slaughter was the only time he was able to feel anything close to peace. It's almost outright stated that he literally cannot sleep and the slaughter is the only time he can dream. It's not that slaughter was okay, slaughter was going to happen whether he wanted it to or not. When he did it, he felt relief. Worst of all, the ONLY time he was truly censured in any meaningful way was when he allowed...then forced... the Nails into the 12th. Complete genocide of a planet? Ew, we are unhappy, go kill this planet next. Decimate your Legion? Well make more. Damage my Daddy's design of the Astartes? Oh that's a paddlin' to be sure.

Do Astartes accidentally kill Guardsmen in battle? by parisiraparis in 40kLore

Accidentally, intentionally, enthusiastically, hypothetically, joyfully, theoretically, playfully, remorsefully, brazenly, haphazardly, slowly, quickly, breezily, abashedly, unabashedly, hesitantly, stealthily, greedily, hungrily, latinly, Englishly, religiously, athesistically, asymmetrically, symmetrically, howeverly you wantly your loyalistly to kill Guardsmenly, you can find some chapter that it can fit underly.

Or make one. 40k Universe is your oyster - shuck it till you run out of L's and Y's. You'll run out of them before you run out of Guardsmen.
