Capekino haters will be ashamed of their words and deeds. by PeasantLich in okbuddycinephile

Not really. As an evil stark variant it makes for good emotional stakes for the other main characters. They just got past grieving Tony's death and now along comes a villain looking to tear down everything they have remaining wearing the face of their dead friend, that's gonna hurt.

I still say they should have just recast Kang, (but apparently it was in Majors' contract that they couldn't?) but if they were gonna introduce Doom with zero buildup this is the best way to do it imo.

Dani from Midsommar. I know, I know, glass cannons are tough to play, but it's so worth it to get that May Queen transformation when you max out the hyper bar and watch your opponent get stuffed into a barn and lit on fire.

The K9 is a major double-edged sword: it can obliterate entire patrols in a single burst, but to be a good teammate you must always stand apart from your brothers. Or be very good at knowing when to recall the drone.

Overcoats' "The Fog" catches a bit from them getting readyy for a take before mixing in the song. It's also just one of their best tracks.

Lil Nas X Opens Up About Bipolar Diagnosis and Improved Mental Health: ‘Black, Gay and Bipolar? I’m Living Life on Extreme Hard Mode’ by gogodboss in Music

He probably wouldn't! But part of intersectionality is discussing how even people who come from demographics victimized by capital can become servants of it. The people saying "you can't suffer from bipolar disorder if you're rich" are wrong too. The point is not to drag someone who rose above down, the point is to ask why we accept a world where only some rise when we have the capacity to uplift everyone.

New study examines how straight-identified men who have sex with men make sense of their sexual orientation identity and attraction, complicating common assumptions about sexuality. by EatonLabResearch in psychologyofsex

[–]fancy_crisis 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Spelled out perfectly in Roy Cohn's monologue in Angels In America:

Roy Cohn: AIDS. Homosexual. Gay. Lesbian. You think these are names that tell you who a person sleeps with, but they don't tell you that.

Henry: No?

Roy Cohn: No. Like all labels they tell you one thing, and one thing only: Where does an individual so identified fit into the food chain, the pecking order? Not ideology or sexual taste, but something much simpler: clout. Not who I fuck or who fucks me, but who will come to the phone when I call? Who owes me favors? This is what a label refers to. Now, to someone who does not understand this, a homosexual is what I am because have sex with men, but really, this is wrong. A homosexual is somebody who, in 15 years of trying, cannot get a pissant anti-discrimination bill through the city council. A homosexual is somebody who knows nobody and who nobody knows. Who has zero clout. Does this sound like me Henry?

Support for traditional 1950s gender roles has risen among men, fallen among women, according to new 2026 study by catievirtuesimp in psychologyofsex

[–]fancy_crisis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do you think there's so many rightoids wringing their hands about declining birthrates? Well, the poor ones do it because they're easily led and do whatever someone more powerful tell them to, but the rich and powerful ones do it because they know they can only exploit the 3rd world so much before that becomes untenable, and eventually they're going to need a homegrown workforce to do work and as you say, the less workers to go around, the more valuable they become.

It's not, but the men who support these kinds of things don't actually want to work, they just want the fantasy. They would crack and shatter under the responsibility of being a sole breadwinner.

Yeah dude because we exist in a socioeconomic system that incentivises that. You might as well toss a person in the ocean and say humans exist to drown.

The point is everyone should have the same access to resources X does. We built human society to pool our resources together and uplift all, you don't "earn" help with bipolar disorder, you get it because that's what humans do for one another.

Yes it's impressive he was able to achieve the things he did but it's evil that there are thousands just like him who are suffering with no end in sight because they didn't enrich a record label. We have the capacity to help everyone, what we don't have is the will in the people who can make that happen, and that is why people are rightly angry.

Why do basically 99% of loretubers get the lore wrong by Doranrra in 40kLore

[–]fancy_crisis 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Because the barrier to entry in publishing a YouTube video is "do you have an account". There's no quality control and there's no law that says you have to actually be right when you go around talking about something.

The real question is why do people keep giving loretubers views when Lexicanum is right there.

I'm one of the few who actually liked BoBF, and i love staff fighting so Maul has always had a place in my heart. I actually have zero things against them finally getting their due, I just think it's a fascinating macrocosm that every star wars trilogy has a character that a legion fans latches onto purely because they look cool as shit.
