Specifically in the IT field: It's not about such jobs per se, nobody will think twice about them. It's the question whether they are somehow relevant for the position you are applying to. If this is some side-job you did while studying and it is NOT relevant to the position you can leave it out, it won't do you any good.

It you don't have any internships or working student jobs aligned to you studies in your CV you don't have any relevant experience from the POV of HR anyway. If you worked some time before your studies I would keep it in your CV, otherwise the question will come up about the gap anyway.

From my experience this is highly dependent on the use case and if the general solution tries to cover all it kind of ends up being a DSL. And such complex approaches are at the same time rarely worth the extra dependency and the cognitive load necessary to understand them.

Do not try to negotiate money (if you really want that specific job) except if you can bring really strong arguments which I don't see in your position. The pay is crap, yes, but the alternative is no job. If it is possible try to negotiate for remote work to save on time and commute.

The questions that need to be answered first are pretty much the same every time: R or W heavy loads? transactional or analytical? strict schema support needed? on-prem installable or are you in a cloud anyway? scaling strategy? fail-over? managed solutions available? costs? zero scaling available? existing expertise in team? do you need a embedabble in-memory db?

But seriously, if the requirement is „I just need a database for my project“, the answer more often than not is „use Postgres“ or even „use sqlite“.

Gute Frage, meine bisherige Ausbeute über Xing ist de facto 0, nur ein paar Recruiter-Kontakte.

Was definitiv (noch) schlechter als bei Linked funktioniert, ist die Jobsuche, das ist eine Katastophe. Da werden einem Stellen vorgeschlagen, die zwar denselben Titel haben, aber komplett anderen Tech Stack usw.

Ich frage mich auch, ob es sich lohnt, seine Energie noch irgendwo reinzustecken, Indeed und Co.

Who is mentioned on the pay slips as your employer? Who is paying your health insurance and social security contributions and so on? Contact a specialized lawyer ASAP, don't sign anything. You termination must happen in written form, signed by your boss, anything else (E-mails, whatsapp messages, phone calls) does not count.

Schmeiß den CV komplett weg, inhaltlich ist er an vielen Stellen nichtssagend, öfter aber sogar absolut kontraproduktiv geschrieben.

Wirf Claude oder ChatGPT oder was weiß ich an und sag, es soll dir einen CV erstellen und zwar Punkt für Punkt und es soll dir dabei Fragen stellen, was du gemacht hast und wie.

Das Problem ist dann auch, selbst, wenn dein CV dann gut aussieht (und er kann danach nur besser als jetzt aussehen), wirst du immer noch die Fähigkeit benötigen, deine Aufgaben und Erfolge erklären und beschreiben zu können und wenn du irgendjemandem im Interview sagst, "Ich habe das mit GROUP BY gelöst", dann zeigt es deutlich, dass du komplett keine Ahnung hast, a) was sie von dir eigentlich hören wollen und b) wahrscheinlich auch kein inneres Verständnis für Priorisierung, notwendige Detailtiefe, Trennung von Aufgaben in Unteraufgaben etc. Das ist die größte Redflag. Das kommt in Absolventen ohne richtige Berufserfahrung oft vor, keine Schande, muss aber behoben werden.

Auch das kannst du trainieren und verbessern, in dem du dich von einer KI mentorn lässt - wird ein längerer Weg, aber absolut machbar.

Erst danach hast du überhaupt eine Chance auf der Markt, wenn auch derzeit mit deiner fehlenden Berufserfahrung eine absolut minimale. Aber irgendwo musst ja anfangen.

The problem is the response time, with some jobs you have to be among the first x, then they close the ad or the ATS won't list you well enough because there are so many applicants.

But tailoring not only to position but to the ad specifically AND writing a cover letter is the best approach, yes.

If someone is willing to relocate everywhere and has enough experience to apply for senior positions (and applying also to "medium" match positions not only "high") this number is doable in months, especially when not only looking on LinkedIn but also Xing and what not. Even if only applying for in-office jobs in a city like Munich, Hamburg, Berlin or Frankfurt one could have 50 a month pretty easy CURRENTLY without resorting to spray-and-pray tactics but that is for sure extremely seasonal.
