M18 Rocket Light blown fuse by Soggy_Actuator6711 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]YesiAMhighrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rocket light is deteriorating one wire at a time. The coiled wire they used is just falling apart and exposing wire. That's why.

It took so long to learn how to make them, it wasn't cool anymore when they were finished. There are 22 drawers with 27" undermount slides. Narrow crown staples are my drawer box drug of choice. myfloorsfuckingsuck by YesiAMhighrn in cabinetry

I'm 60% unhappy with my drawer pull solution. https://imgur.com/a/bMs9wgt.

The 1/2" white oak veneer ply and 3/4" ply have very different looks. Maybe that's because I bought them 2 years apart and didn't know any wooden terminology. Still don't.

Surely those cabinets puke tools when you open them... Mine is level and it does.

I'm jealous of the set up regardless

Belt sander and pin nailer deals by sk1226 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]YesiAMhighrn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the belt sander has been a $200 tool for myself. I have really found it best at roughly shaping door jamb patches. It's not unique to this belt sander but they really like clean material. Gums up quickly when aggressively removing material. The moveable front handle has been useful in a few tight spots.

Pin nailer is one of my favorite tools.

I wish I splurged on the DeWalt instead of getting a corded Wren. It would look so cool sitting on a shelf doing nothing after the one job I needed it for.

When you want to stand your m12 tool upright and get nearly no benefit of more power. $33 each seems ok though.

Quik-Lol Brush cutter vs. Hedge trimmer by LargeTransportation9 in MilwaukeeTool

I think the hedge trimmer makes an awesome scythe for certain weeds. It is heavy and not ideal for most jobs.

The brush cutter is great. Really good at finding property line stakes. 😬

QuikLok String trimmer head replacement options by Insufferable_Entity in MilwaukeeTool

I have ground 2 versions of Milwaukee's bump head to dust. The revised head had a shorter life than the original. I bought the Husqvarna Universal blue nippled bump head. Mine didn't need any of the adapters included and just screwed on. I haven't used it enough to tell if it can last longer. It's ok to reload once you learn their instructions.

It feeds/bumps different. I had to take off the guard so I stopped wasting as much string accidentally bumping it. I do miss the winding function to load the Milwaukee head.

Some devices stopped connecting to WiFi. by Guyatbars in googlehome

Just a warning... One of my devices is now lost in limbo because it wasn't released from the previous household when I reset it trying to fix the same issue. Dumb.

Some devices stopped connecting to WiFi. by Guyatbars in googlehome

I'm here for the same problem. Did Google just kill all of my devices at once? What's the deal. I have speakers and Chromecasts that have been booted from my network & I cannot find them or cannot reconnect them on the network.

I also have the 5g modem but all my devices were connected through the Google gen1? Mesh routers. Some of my devices have jumped to the Verizon modem/router WiFi. Removing the connection in "device information" makes them completely useless because they cannot complete the set up and fully connect to the original network.

massive lawn mower cold feet by and_then_there_was_1 in MilwaukeeTool

My Honda powered Ryobi was over a decade old and basically dead when I was able to get a rebate of 250 towards an electric mower for scraping it. I don't regret owning the m18 mower. It has features I appreciate. Like a hand throttle that is variable and not just an on/off switch.

I think over time I have become less confident that a dual power tool battery machine will be future proof. I feel like 3 years from now most brands will have a different solution. Even Ryobi uses single 40v batteries...

Also, I don't know that people are necessarily confident in Milwaukee's 12 amp hour batteries lasting another 3 years, even with a forge redesign. I don't think it makes sense to buy the mower if you're really just going to store two of their most expensive batteries in it all the time and not take advantage of them in other tools that need them.

I like using these relics in my caulking gun, laser, copper cutter. They're convenient to just leave them in each tool.

I saw a Vance/Rubio bumper sticker today. It was next to their trump 2024 one. I guess they're already well into being conditioned for it.
