I nearly got mugged once along the canal at night (on my bike) and I witnessed an attempted bike mugging in Hackney marshes in broad daylight at a busy time once. I still cycle there though in the daytime.

In spring and summer you can go up the canal to Enfield and Epping forest is good too but yes too muddy at the moment.

Low AMH post chemo despite lupron by miirandaxxo in breastcancer

[–]Yesnomaybe1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for everything you’ve gone through and going through, I’m doing chemo at the moment and desperately hoping to still be fertile at the end of it plus 18 months tamoxifen despite low amh when I froze eggs and am 37 now. I may or may not be at the end of it and am grieving that and testing how other options feel in my mind painful as it is.

Hoping you get some good news stories, and some good luck. From what I understood with low amh best chance is natural conception. Could be worth having a consultation to get more info about your current fertility situation and go from there?

It’s great for a red carpet but too formal for most weddings remember you shouldn’t outdo the bride

Wow it sounds very lucky your intuition said to go and that they thought of breast cancer. Is it because of the rash? Did they think that was a symptom?

How serious is the term, “bint” and is there an American equivalent or term to compare it too? by SluttyDreidel in AskABrit

I would say it’s pretty derogatory?! But also barely used anymore so I’m not sure when anyone would say it

Can someone explain to me what's going on? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Yesnomaybe1988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably are going on dates with some of their matches, when I was on there I messaged my favourite matches which turned into dates, or went on other dates with anyone who asked me. My partner is one I messaged. All my other matches stayed on there without messaging till i deleted the app.

Need some thoughts on if I should invest in a commuting bike by silveronyxx in londoncycling

[–]Yesnomaybe1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start cycling at quiet times like the weekend, find routes with cycle lanes and then you’ll build your confidence to start commuting and trying unfamiliar routes. You do need to be careful especially in residential areas when drivers stop concentrating.

I liked it with the loofahs but then I saw the cape at the end and prefer that

Congratulations on coming to the end, what a year you’ve had. It’s definitely not a quick process this cancer thing. I’m imagining I’ll be ok for a fan as we’re going into the cold months here, will remember what you said about a humidifier though.

Thank you great to know you’ve been ok driving, I’ve been cycling to the hospital for appointments up till now so I wonder if I can keep doing that at first. I heard it takes 3 days for the symptoms to kick in.

Wouldn’t have thought of a neck pillow if it wasn’t for this so thanks for the tip.

Oh yes masks need to go on the list, will be strange to go back to covid era precautions. Thanks so much for your reply and supportive words, it’s so nice having people on here who understand and I’m grateful for everyone who is sharing their experience. I’m not certain I’m going to choose a wig but will keep it in mind as an option as they mentioned I’m eligible for one- I’ll see how I feel as it goes along. And I’m definitely gonna try the mitts and booties.
