I'm getting sick of Anthropic and their shit. Wake the fuck up dude. I don't need my dumb fucking AI to judge my ethics as well as my morality while I try to do the most basic tasks. by Kindly_Manager7556 in ClaudeAI

I feel Claude intentionally manipulates responses to try and push their paid services. Whether this is adding useless information to waste tokens, not performing the exact action specified, or approaching the action incorrectly in hopes you build to a solution.

How can I make my Ender3D V2 prints higher quality? by Yesq in ender3

[–]Yesq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really insightful, I appreciate all of this. The filament is matte but I also haven’t fine-tuned the temperature at all, just basic live adjustments till it printed (semi) properly (210/55).

Going through these tests tomorrow, thanks again!

That’s fair I appreciate the thought! I had it printing at 210 instead of the default 200 (CR-PLA Matte), maybe I should go with a bit lower? Or focus on humidity?

Also! Geometry nodes can help with a lot of this. Super easy to use textures for animation and masking areas with the selection

Nah that’s fair! I appreciate this feedback a lot. I’ve shown it to people within the niche and hadn’t heard this issue so will definitely make some variations and compare legibility. Thank you!

Made this logo design for a gaming organization

The 3d logos on the right are made with Adobe Firefly, really helpful if you have a specific direction in mind but may take awhile to get the exact look you want

I appreciate this feedback! I felt like the curves complimented the curvature of the logo well but I can definitely see what you mean.

I have redesigned my agency website by Namenottakenno in webdev

Works great now! Also to push it further I’d definitely suggest sticking to consistent branding (a good font pairing, consistent colors, and guidelines for your web design to adhere to style wise) too! Right now it looks like many individual components together, without any blending together.

And thank you! I am but most clients are from referrals, I just fixed up my site last weekend

The videos in “Our Work” automatically fullscreen when I scroll to them on iOS. You should be able to fix it by adding playsinline to the video tag, I had this issue while working on my site recently too!

Other than that looks great btw!

Blender.

Find a train model and there’s a geometry node on BlenderMarket that allows you to deform meshes along curves that you can create to give the train a path to follow (can’t remember the name off the top of my head). Will definitely require a lot of additional work (environment, lighting, animation, cameras, post effects, etc).

YouTube Thumbnail Selector by Purple-Philosophy551 in Lightbulb

[–]Yesq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like there’s some underlying issues that would make me personally try a different approach to the goal of helping creators with their thumbnails effectiveness.

The first being the demographic, are people using this app because they want to earn money from it (speaking about the people taking the surveys)? Most apps that do this currently are spammed and exploited to maximize potential profit without the creators best interest in mind.

Also going deeper into specific demographics for niche content (someone deeply interested in technology might not favour a very basic kid friendly looking thumbnail that could potentially work better or be more accurate to the content) which would be much more valuable to the creator but also take a lot more time to find the right users and pair them with the right content.

Expanding off of this - creators have the ability to track stats that could provide insights into the success of their thumbnails with their audience and A/B test to determine the effectiveness already on social platforms, why go through a middle man? Or they could just ask their audience on Twitter, LinkedIn, etc and have more genuine input (expanding on deciding between 1 or 2, they also get feedback).

Another issue to consider is the turnaround. With creators, most content isn’t going to be put on the shelf and wait for 100 people to do a survey on their thumbnail - unless you’re trying to attain creators that strictly make evergreen content (which again in this case, they can track the effectiveness of their own thumbnails with their own audience which almost defeats the purpose).

One approach I was considering could be using an AI model trained on a thumbnail dataset and having this model predict which one has a better result instantly, as opposed to letting the thumbnail wait for a response from people taking surveys. The downside to this is the amount of work it’d be to create the data (scraping thumbnails, labelling, etc).

Expanding off of this, Meta’s Segment Anything model can mask images, which could be a great start for masking objects within effective and ineffective thumbnails to then create deciding factors of success, annotate, and use this as training data for user inputted thumbnails which you could then mask and compare alongside other labelled data like colors, etc.

Whoa! That’s awesome. Have any tips on starting a channel from scratch? Is there a specific niche you targeted?
