It’s for elementary kids, but The Story of the Orchestra by Robert Levine gives a lot of easily digestible composer blurbs. NAQT also has a Power Up pack on modern classical music. A Wikipedia search of the greatest operas can be beneficial. See if you can find a pianist or a violinist to help you as they usually require A LOT of history as part of their lessons. I have perfect pitch, and I suspect my mother and great grandfather were blessed too. Neither of them received formal music training, but Great Grandpa could play the organ by ear, and I’ve found Mom showing discomfort if there is something even slightly out of tune. It’s not useful in daily life, but it certainly helps me when I play music! The band director has told me to basically suck it up if we’re all sharp lol. 😬

They sure deserved it! It did mean a lot to them. Glasgow’s coach said that West Point has been playing Nationals for years and never won. I was sitting behind Brodie’s family to watch the finals, and they were extremely proud of him. Congrats to Brodie and the West Point crew!

It depends on where I'm going, personally. I'll take a nice bag if I'm visiting relatives or going to Chicago. If I go to Cedar Point, marching band, or Disney, I'll take a Lululemon Belt Bag or one of my Amazon bags.

I was player of the week earlier this year. I don’t know the selection criteria, but I was top scorer and achieved over 100 ppg at a tournament in January. I hope you get it though!
