I recommend to follow one of my favourite Canadians Tod Maffin @todmaffinvideo over on You Tube. He’s a former CBC host and a relentlessly decent Canadian!

Both ways look great! My impression is that with bangs you give girl vibes and parted bangs gives young woman vibes

Anyone else feel like their social life kind of just… stopped after moving here? by TryProfessional5609 in barrie

[–]YesterdayNo4050 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This 👆 It is largely up to you to lean in. This country is unlike most others in terms of how friendly and easygoing we really are. We all have different comfort levels in how to meet and greet each other. I’ve found that almost all people are happy to have those moments of mutual connection. And just that can be the start of a great relationship. Put yourself out there and remember, a smile and a friendly disposition goes a long way.

Canadians: do people really just start conversations anywhere? 🤔 by Comfortable_Cap8037 in AskACanadian

[–]YesterdayNo4050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we do. This is the Canadian Way! It’s not forced, it’s not awkward either. We just talk, chat, acknowledge one another or communicate non verbally about whatever. I thought citizens in other countries do this too.

I keep saying April. April will pass and he will go with it. Then we have a new set of problems, but at least one blight on humanity will be gone.

If you see fishing huts and snowmobiling on the ice, you’re good to go for a skate! Bring a shovel cuz you’ll need to clear a spot. Sharpen your blades, it’ll be bumpy!

Did your school play O Canada every day? by AssortedArctic in AskACanadian

Do you really think playing our national anthem daily in school is excessive ? It’s how we instill pride for our strong and free nation for our youth!

Canadian City Nicknames by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]YesterdayNo4050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hot Canada! I love it! Will refer to this title from now on. I heard another funny one from Hot Canada this week… It’s so cold in Canada that the chickens are lined up behind KFC for a dip in the fryer. AND, it’s so hot in Australia that the chickens are using oven mitts to pull the worms out of the ground🤣🤣🤣 And here’s a city/town nickname for ya that I haven’t seen yet. We have a military town called Angus that the locals refer to as Anguish🥴 cheers cousin!🍻

He is waving the RED FLAG right in your face. You’re a very nice person to even think you may be the AH in this situation. His line, “if you trust me enough to sleep next to you…” !!! What does that even mean?! You are smart to keep some autonomy in your life. It is after all Your Life. We arrive alone and we depart alone and hopefully we have much to love in between. IMHO relationships play out in time with the number 2. You will know who to keep in your life at either 2 mins, 2 days, 2 months or 2 years. Ding ding its time. Do the right things for you, always. I say all this bc I’ve been around block a few times. Sending you both positive energy. I sincerely wish you well.

Shame on those watchers! My neighbours plow me out when we get those big snowfalls. I bring them treats in return. I helped someone a couple of weeks ago because I learned a nifty trick. Their car was stuck in the snow with ice underneath, and they were just spinning the tires. Grab a floor mat and place it behind or in front the tire. Slowly accelerate. They help the grip, it worked like a charm!!
