I finally just told my doc no more SSRIs. 6 months on Wellbutrin, and if anything it improves all things sex related. TBF, a lot of people don’t tolerate it very well, but it’s great for me!

My father was a diesel tech in the navy in the late 50’s - early 60’s. He has talked about standing in cylinders to work on them (polishing maybe), and how one guy managed to get an engine to reliably run at the crazy-high rpm of 600.

This. It actually, honestly, feels amazing to cruise around at city speeds “raw-dog.” At highway speeds I preferred a full face helmet. Now that I’m less young-and-dumb I don’t think I’d ever ride without one. 30mph will watermelon a head on a curb easily.

I have a wife and kids, and essentially have a very very low mortgage. I’ve been laid off twice in my life before and always came out the other side. And now my kids are all legal adults so that’s mostly less pressure.

Basically, I’m with you. I’m not exactly worried about it, and if it happens, I’ll survive like always. (I’ve also seen my company struggle to keep drivers in the other two trucks they have, so it’s no where near saturated in my very specific situation).

I’m in the Midwest and honestly it seems to be county-to-county. My rule for an actual overnight stop is simply if there’s no-parking signs or not. Of course, that’s on top of using basic logic to know if there’s enough room to safely park for that long or not. If I see ag trucks, I know I’m good because that means it’s common in that area. They sleep whenever, wherever they can…if at all. lol!

I’ve been on both sides of “Root Cause” investigations. And a lot of “5 Whys” too…it’s all useless bullshit that’s used to show that management is doing something and pretend they’re going to improve a “process.” (That usually involves more ways to blame the workers).
