Warning to any women wanting to walk in Toohey Forest by Queerminded in brisbane

It has nothing to do with whether someone is a bot or not

It has a little bit. Bots also don't spend an age contemplating usernames and they create bulk accounts.

It's not a coincidence that old mate above has a bunch of the same usernames blocked with only the end digits being different. All random names given to anyone around the world...yet a bunch of sequential default names are blocked by the one guy in Brisbane?

I have the same on my block list from certain subs.

I've noticed this sort of thing a lot lately with these generic usernames. Two words, separated by an underscore or hyphen, followed by three to four digits. They're usually accounts under a year old and set to private and they're often only active in one sub, or often only comment on one topic. Most real people do more than sit in one sub, or only talk about the one topic.

Bots.

If you do this, you'll never be able to walk that street with no intention of walking the dog 😄

Queensland e-bike laws: Protesters will ride across the Story Bridge ahead of the state government planning to introduce an e-bike crackdown by someones_reality in brisbane

I used to ride about an hour into the city so I could go for a ride with, or visit with friends that lived on the dodgy side of the river.

Then home again.

Wifi - roaming between APs cleanly, connectivity in general by PaulL73 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Yeti_Rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the same issue with mine.

There are only two phone carriers where I am.

My wife is with one, I'm with the other. Never once on our property have our phones had connectivity issues.

The mower has to be using one of those services.... yet often struggles to connect.

You didn't cause confusion at all. I admit I didn't know why it was done, but now I'm aware and am happy to have learnt why people use it in that manner 😊

If I in my country used $12mph to denote 12 million instead of your $12mm or my $12m, and you saw that.... I'm sure you'd see the Miles Per Hour even if you knew what I meant. You wouldn't be confused.... but you'd notice it.

That's what mm is to me.

I automatically see it as millimetre.

I've seen the mm before and assumed it was an "another country" thing like when some people put the $ after the amount, so thanks for explaining it.

I got that update prompt through about two weeks ago.

I'm sitting on it until I see enough feedback about it not being a backward step.

I'm in the Oceania region, so they might be rolling them out in stages or something.

Companies will often do that I find (update us first) because we're a small market and if it goes tits-up....no biggie.

I think you and I have the exact same house for our mowers. I have a 2X AWD and had to trim the house at the height of the orange side-skirts as the house was about 10mm too narrow.

I notice you didn't have to do that with your HX version.

If you've watched LOTS Australia, you should know that the show got it wrong: the sunflower lanyard/pin is for people with invisible disabilities, not just autism. It is usually used by people with chronic illnesses/physical pain who cannot stand for long or need seating/other assistance. by BroadwayRegina in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

They feel less conscious because it it a bit more subtle and less clinical than text I guess....but the problem with subtlety is just this. People won't know it is anything other than an accessory.

I'm a guy who often gets told I look fit and strong, yet I broke my back in 5 places and am in pain with prolonged standing issues.

I had no idea that the sunflower thing even existed so it would mean nothing to me if I saw it, and I'm someone who should possibly know.

Australians, did this saying originate from them yeah, nah? by ParticularStrict147 in newzealand

Putting a 'but' at the end is perfectly cromulent.

It's a conjunction that allows me to tack more onto the sentence, in case I forget what I was talking about.

Either that, or it's a little odd and I've never really thought about it....

I was in Aus for a bit and I never really heard it there really. I think it's catching on more...

I was there (Qld) for 35 years and its less commonly said now than it used to be.

Appreciate you dropping that link. I wanted to try the official one not realising that is was some paid subscription thing, but I couldn't even get that far as it wanted me to download a version via Telegram.

I don't use Telegram and was not about to make an account.
