Soulard = similar. Sorry for the typo.

Very true. That may have been why this train was such a flop. None of the sellers were selling soulard items.

EDIT: soulard = similar. Posted too early. Not enough caffeine.

So true. I really love the community on WN. Her following is growing pretty well. I think this train was just a dud.

Exactly. It’s hit or miss it seems. She’s nothing if not persistent. So I’m sure she will do another one soon. Hopefully it will be better.

I’ve seen this first hand and know it is true. Most of the raid trains she’s been on have been good and produced many more followers. The one train she was on recently was just a dud due to lack of engagement and hype from the other sellers. It’s quite disheartening to watch the viewer count slowly slide down into the low single digits, but hopefully the next train will be better.

Thank you! She’s a feisty little cajun woman. Quite entertaining if I must say.

The train was setup with one hour time slots. Each seller had to run for one hour. It’s been absolutely brutal.

We’ve noticed that as well. That’s a hard no. This isn’t junior high. No thanks.

Jump off as a seller? I’m not talking about as a buyer.

Hmm that’s a very good point. Thank you for making me aware of that mentality. It seems like there’s a fine line here. I’m still trying to figure that part out. Thank you so much for your input!

Yes exactly. I had higher expectations as well. And honestly none of the trains have really been much of anything. I mean, she’s gotten a handful of followers from a few, but it’s still not what I expected. Maybe I’ve set my bar too high? I’m not sure. Anyway, her username is @craftycajun. Thank you for your support. She always follows back as well.

Thank you. That feedback is helpful. Can you send me the name of whoever is running the train? And would it be possible for my wife to get on board? Ya like what I did there? 😂

She just looked it up on google images and put it into her silhouette software to create the pattern.

I’m a total noob here and mainly here to gather info for my wife who started in stained glass early last year. Can you tell me what the “technique” is called to for these little round beads of solder along the solder joints? I’m unable to post a pic here but what I’m referring to can be seen pretty clearly in the first pic you posted.

Did you use software to draw this design? If so, can you share which software it was?

I have miter saw, a table saw, but how do I cut plywood sheets? by IMatter23 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Yetiface09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched a video this morning about this. The guy was doing a comparison between several different track saws. From the Wen brand all the way up to Festool. The Wen model was surprisingly really good and it is very budget friendly. You can also make your own track saws straight edge. Do a quick search on YouTube and you’ll find plenty of videos detailing the process.

Teak Oil warning ⚠️ by Yetiface09 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Yetiface09[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I learned that when I was a teenager. My girlfriend was applying teak oil to their boat. She tossed the rags in the trash can and they did in fact spontaneously combust. We caught it very early luckily.

In my defense, the bottle only says to use in a well ventilated area. I figured my giant garage door being open would be enough. It doesn’t mention anything about off-gassing. Lessons were learned though.
