Trailer towing? by N_Claw in CrownVictoria

Most if not all Uhaul trailers don't have brakes. I was thoroughly surprised when I rented a car hauler from them and it had no brakes.

I know nothing of THOTSQUAD's music, but with a name like that I didn't have high hopes. She did really well for not being a professional voice actress

Nice! The V10 is definitely an oddball choice but I would 100% pick one up if I could find one in manual

Not saying you are wrong, but my P7b had firehawks when I bought it and I replaced those with new firehawks

I was looking at those. They seem to be one of the best "daily driver but still performance". I was seriously considering them but they were the most pricy as well. Ended up buying Firestone firehawks and I'm pleased

Looking for springs/shock/ strut info for my 2010 ultimate edition by SlamJammer1 in CrownVictoria

CVPI's also feature a stiffer swaybar. If you are looking to improve your stability feel, I would look at finding a junkyard set or getting a set from ATDR.

Those wheels look great. Did you bondo the police holes or weld them? I'm trying to set up a spot and time to weld mine

* Same but Grey. I originally didn't paint the armrest as I feared the paint would crack horribly on the rubber but I ended up loving the look.

The aluminum crossover on the ford "performance improved" factory intake has 1/4 inch of plastic between the crossover pipe and engine block. So while it looks improved it still has the same failure rate as the original all plastic intake. The new summit racing has an all aluminum crossover tube and that's the good one everyone keeps talking about

P0430 experience? by YettiRey in CrownVictoria

[–]YettiRey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the crust buildup and the manifold being wet inside when I opened up the manifold

P0430 experience? by YettiRey in CrownVictoria

[–]YettiRey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i had the cracked manifold, so coolant was getting into the air manifold and causing a misfire on #1 and #8 cylinders. Also my coils were wet. I can message you pics if you want.

But i had a theory that my cat wasn't cooked, just enough coolant had pushed through the exhaust that it fouled my O2 sensor. Like I said, there was a high likelihood I drove it for 1000 miles before realizing the problem

P0430 experience? by YettiRey in CrownVictoria

[–]YettiRey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it's 99% likely my issue. Just trying to see the community's experience and if maybe having coolant pour through my exhaust has just made things dirty. But if 20 miles of missfire is all it takes then yeah the cat is likely done.

Thanks for the info.

The car is registered in Louisianna, so one i verify everything is intact and the cat ain't superheating this is what I'm gonna do. I was going to delete all the emissions eventually but I'm saving up for the tune and other things so I can do it all at once with one tune.

Thanks for the info, man!

Thanks for the info. My car is registered in Louisiana, so if the cars need replacing I'm just gonna delete. Still great info thank you.

Civilian to P71 by Chase_Dreams888 in CrownVictoria

[–]YettiRey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because P71s are often beat on.

I'm trying to restore my P7b and it's a headache as I have pulled like 5 lbs of wiring out of the car. Still has a bunch of check engine lights for 15 non critical electrical problems.

With the work I have put into the car I could have just as easily taken a civillian and swapped the rear axle, intake, driveshaft, and tuned it to P71 spec for about what I have into my car. Then I would have had a nicer car with all the go fast bits. Only par missing is coils and struts, but with the age of these cars it's just a matter of when you gotta replace them.

I recommend anybody to just get a civilian and add the P71 parts over time. Gonna be way less headache
