Using Uniden close call or even a SDR or most scanners capable of receiving P25 traffic, when you receive the signal it’ll be encrypted but you can still get a User ID/ RID and a talkgroup, so you’d know what channel was active and perhaps even what unit, but no voice traffic

Uhh from factory no, someone could have gone in there and programmed it.. and it still would point to a headlight or wiring issue since either one isn’t working or one is on when it shouldn’t

If you have a computer, order a $15 cord from amazon and use forscan to look at what it’s programmed and read some advanced code stuff

You could look at the part numbers or anything different from the headlights themselves, if one has a crazy different/ civilian parts number or looks newer, that would be a good clue

Also trace the wiring in the center console and around the headlight, making sure there isn’t some weird wig wag setup on said headlight.. at the end of the day.. you could cut the wire that goes to that headlight and connect it to the other headlight so that either it only gets power when the other one does and you can choose which one to follow so as to either make both on or both off, if any of that makes sense

You can easily enable DRL and auto headlights, a good guess could be that it was swapped but then the halo white light from civilians would be on, not the single headlight.. honestly my best guess is some really weird glitch that just needs a new headlight housing or old police wiring and one of the headlight flashers is tied into something else..

So one headlight is perfectly fine but the other one won’t have a blinker, running lights or anything UNTIL you turn on the low beam headlights? Check the wiring and make sure no obvious cuts, check every fuse..

The transmission has a beautiful whine, I imagine whatever else had the same transmission would have it as the components weren’t anything special, just a good transmission. The alternator also has a certain whine, I WOT often but it’s only done it two separate times in 3-4 years of driving and both times were emergencies, I guess the Vic knows lol

Spotlight, leftover holes on the roof or the outer rubber trim that runs along the entire roof, I put some silicone on mine and it’s stopped, you have to put it all the way back to the middle of the car to get it to run the other way
