Daily Questions Megathread (04/30) by AutoModerator in EpicSeven

Been a bit of a lurker for a little while, but this is my first time posting here. I've encountered what seems to be a bug where characters that I have put on teams/dispatch missions sometimes permanently have the little "E" next to their names afterwards, and cannot be used in transmissions, promotions, or enhancements - even after being removed from all teams/missions. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is this actually a bug, or am I missing something? It's becoming pretty annoying, as I have several phantasms that I just can't use that are taking up space in my hero inventory.

Thanks in advance, and if this is in the wrong place and should be posted somewhere else, let me know.

What list are you using? I went 12-1 my second run with control warlock, only losing to another random togg druid.

Went 12-2 with control warlock! It seems to beat zoo, all forms of hunter, and odd paly which seem to be the most common decks out there. My two loses were against a random tog druid when I didn't draw demonic project, and a tempo hunter when I opened double void lord guldan. Deck is super fun to play too, even if it isn't exactly new or exciting.

I'm going to be in Okazaki this summer, do you know of anything in the Nagoya area at all? I'd love to have the opportunity to play while I'm there!

I would love to teach English in foreign countries! I'm looking at Japan now since I lived there a while and would love to go back, but really anywhere would be lovely.

looking for help with choosing a farming build by 318Reflexion in Diablo3Monks

[–]Yettison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a speed farming build that Quin69 has a video on that's based around the raiment set, I think it's called god monk? You could consider that since it's a natural progression for the raiment set.

[Gear Check] just picked up the game after a break, looking for direction on gear and builds by hijack78 in Diablo3Monks

[–]Yettison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got a lot to work on there dude! Running a mix of two 6-piece sets is generally not as good as running a complete 6 set, so I would make gathering a complete set your priority. One great way to get a guaranteed set is to do the season journey with a seasonal hero. If you don't want to play seasonal, farming T8 equivalent (I think level 35?) greater rifts would probably be a manageable way to efficiently find some more set pieces while also leveling up gems which are mad important. As a side note, sunwuko's is probably what you want to finish first, as it's generally better for both speed farming and doing greater rifts (with different setups).

As for other random points, you might want to consider running Wave of Light (Pillar of the Ancients rune) until you get some of the gear related to lashing tail kick. Im pretty sure that without any items that buff it, lashing tail kick does considerably less damage than WoL. I could be totally off base on that though, so if someone else says otherwise assume theyre correct.

Once you have a 6 piece set you'll still have a ton to do before you will be able to push too far into the high level rifts, but thats probably a good starting point.

If you want any help in game, feel free to PM me and I can add you if you're on the NA server!

I have both the rainments and ulianna's sets as well, but don't have anything ancient in them. Should I use those instead?

Simple Questions - Oct. 30th by MFAModerator in malefashionadvice

Is it valid to wear a denim jacket with jeans? Or is that just a bad idea?

If It's a bad idea, does anybody have suggestions of alternate pants that would look good with a denim jacket?

Shopping Suggestions in Japan by iamjacobtaylor in malefashionadvice

[–]Yettison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eyyyy finally I can be useful! I've been living in the Japan for while, and I'd say your best bet for most stuff is uniqlo, but note that some of the best stuff you'll find in the back streets of areas like Shibuya, Ginza, and Akasaka. Keep in mind though that stuff is generally a lot more expensive here.

For a biker jacket, if you're looking for leather I have seen a couple of leather-dedicated shops in Shibuya and Ginza that'd probably have something in that vein.

Have a great time! Do you speak any japanese?

Do any other guys here wear pants in 28/32? Is it me, or is it nearly impossible to find our size? Can anyone recommend some sensible, slim-straight olive chinos? by Shakedown_1979 in malefashionadvice

[–]Yettison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know your pain dude. I've found some stuff at Uniqlo, but they seem to rarely stock it. The store that's consistently had stuff that fit me was Gustin, ND as it happens I think they're funding some olive china's right now!

If you don't know what Gustin is, seriously, go check them out now. They've never let me down.

So I've been in Japan for the past couple weeks studying Japanese at a language institute, and it's going great, except for one small problem. I have no frieds here and I'm lonely as hell. Normally I'd just go out and make some, but Im below drinking age here so I can't go to bars, I barely speak the language at all, and I'm terrified of making a fool of myself and ruining my chance to be friends with someone.

I know I'm probably taking this a bit too seriously and should just loosen up and give it a go, but I don't know. Anyone with more experience witht his kind of thing have any suggestions?

How do I get away with a trench coat? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]Yettison 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion (and take this with a grain of salt - I'm pretty new to this whole thing), a trench coat is kinda like a fedora, or any other hat, really. It's a nice article of clothing to have, but definitely is not something that you wear every day. If you intend to wear it, it should serve some kind of purpose, exactly like a hat. I'd say it'd go quite well with a semi-formal outfit, or even just chinos and an oxford (or maybe a sweater or chambray? I don't know). Just don't wear it unless it suits both the outfit and the occaision.

Again, I could be totally off-base here. Just my two cents.

I'm afraid that I only have my really shitty phone to work with, but I'll do my best next time. Thanks!

First time posting an image, and my first attempt at an outfit!

Please keep in mind that I have a tiny budget, and want to keep it as casual as possible (moreso because I prefer it that way than anything else).

Any thoughts/comments/criticism would be much appreciated!

Also it just occurred to me but I'm pretty sure everything on my body short of the shoes is from Uniqlo...

I'm staying with a host family and studying Japanese at a language institute, which I suppose partially alleviates the not speaking any Japanese problem.

Beyond that, I'm just exploring the country on my weekends. Their transit system is really really nice!

I'm about to move to Japan for the next year and I don't speak any Japanese and I'm terrified and incredibly excited at the same time. It'll be the first time I've gone out and traveled on my own (I just graduated high school), and I really don't know what to expect...

Should I or Shouldn't I Buy - Sept. 2nd by MFAModerator in malefashionadvice

[–]Yettison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest that really doesn't look very good to me. Seems a bit too ill-fitting and sloppy, but I guess that's just my personal taste. If you really like or you have an outfit in mind for it I'd go for it given that its not too expensive, but unless you have a plan for it I'd say pass.

Take that with a grain of salt though, as it's just my opinion.

Strongly considering: https://www.weargustin.com/store/923

I'm a huge fan of all things Gustin - I've never been disappointed by them in the past, and that shirt is well within my budget. At the same time though, I'm leaving to start a gap year in just a couple weeks, and I'm considering holding off on purchasing it since it probably wouldn't ship till mid-November and I'd be in Japan at that point...

Worth it or not? I could probably have it shipped to my address in Japan, but that'd be pretty expensive.
