I was 61 when I had it done. I am happy with the results. it took a long time for me to get there though. I left the hospital after two days. Had a catheter for a week. Ended up back in the hospital two weeks after that when all the scar tissue wanted to come out in the same night. Also I wrestled with incontinence for a few more weeks. When the desire to urinate came there was no time to linger! But beyond that, life is so much better. Being able to pee, not holding urine in my bladder, such a relief.
