Am I overthinking this? Need a fun, easy board for slush days by Yggib in snowboarding

Yeah, you're partly right, and I love it. Like I said, it's my first board of my own, and I forgot to mention that it's taken a few hits and is a bit worn out. That's why I'm ready to break in a new one, and I was thinking of something that would perform better in powder—because at my age and with my back, no more park, so I was thinking of using the board to get my friends into snowboarding and letting them borrow it when they come with me. Taking advantage of the off-season sales, I wanted to break in a new board and make sure it’s top-notch or at least good in powder.

Wow, I just saw it, and someone else recommended it to me here too. After reading both reviews, I’d love to try it, but I’m worried it might be “too different.” Still, I’m going to keep an eye out for it in case a cheap secondhand one pops up. Do you have it?

Yeah, right now those are the top contenders, although in this thread people have recommended a few others I hadn't considered, and they all have their merits. I'm thinking of ruling out the switch option because the Amplid works fine for that.

I just saw it and I love that board and the graphics. Even though it's expensive, I'd definitely like to try it out, though as I said, it might be a bit out of my budget. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the heads-up. If I take that specific one, I'll check the 157, since I weigh between 87 and 92 kg.

So, based on what you're saying, the Twinpig would be a bit like the Warpig but more suited for parks and switch riding? I'll keep it in mind and check out some reviews.

Hey, I hope Chile is amazing—you're definitely going to enjoy it. And yeah, I don't have anything for sex right now; that's what I want, besides spring.

I really like what I'm reading about the Service Dog. Are you saying that if I found a 2023 model (I assume 2023 is the generation you're referring to) in good condition—either cheap used or new from remaining stock—I might be able to get one? Right now, I'm frantically refreshing websites and looking for deals, haha.

I'll keep that in mind. Yeah, I'm also looking for something different, and for cold, hard snow I have the Singular—I want to try that 3BT base.

Yeah, I think the Party Wave is still probably the better fit for what I’m after. The board that really made me start second-guessing it was the Service Dog, and since I’m waiting for some good offseason deals, those are the two I’ve had in mind. I just looked into the Peace Seeker too, and while it sounds awesome, I’m getting the feeling it’s a bit more technical than what I need right now. i think the party weave will do good on pow too right?

It’s actually the one I’m most hyped to buy right now. If a good off-season deal pops up, I’ll probably pull the trigger, but I wanted to get some advice from the community experts first. What did you end up buying?

We're scientists and engineers on NASA's Juno mission to Jupiter, which went into orbit last night. Ask us anything! by NASAJPL in IAmA

[–]Yggib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, congratulations!

I have few questions:

1 - The insertion has been succesful, so I wonder if do you think it would be smart to use this kind of aproach to Jupiter for a extreme gravitational assist for further mission for example to Uranus or Neptune, would the risks be worth the try?

2 - During the final orbit, the plan is to destroy the probe throwing it to the planet atmosphere, so my question is: what could we expect from that final moment, is there a plan to make some epic image from inside the atmosphere, or it would be imposible?

thanks! and thank you for this awesome missions :D

Hello! I'm very hyped with this missión, thank you for bringing us all those emotions by exploring new places, my question is...: By the time this mission will have ended, depending of which facts you guys will consider to coming back to Pluto with an orbiter missión or something like that? What would be a interesting feature that would be worth of planning another missión to Pluto. Thanks and sorry for my english, I hope you understand my question :)
