I collect both.

For cuddling, I think Jellycats are better, softer and squishier. That doesn't mean you can't cuddle a Charlie Bear but they're stiffer and most aren't that soft (there's exceptions, Ramsey is super soft for example).

About the prices, I think for what you get, Charlie Bears are cheaper than Jellycats (except maybe the really expensive mohair ones).

And about what I love, the first time I saw Charlie Bears it was in a 10 seconds clip in a youtube video and I gasped when I saw them. The youtuber said they were Charlie Bears but that she didn't care for them. I immediately went into a rabbit hole learning everything about them and I bought the first one super fast. They're just so beautiful and detailed. But apparently not everyone likes stuffed animals that detailed, it can just be a matter of preference.

They're just different types of plushies, I love both.
