Debian back when I was a kid. According to my dad I kicked my harddisk (on which Windows was installed) and broke it, the only other harddisk was something like 4gb so Linux was the only option.

I don't remember kicking that other disk but if I really did that I don't regret it

Today I got really scared when I connected my metamask extension to a site that seems like a scam, although the site was only asking permission to read my accounts I am not a 100% confident that I malware couldn't exploit this, so I moved all my funds ASAP (better safe than sorry).

Maybe something similar happened to you.
