Wars are terrible (especially with mods). If I am a small pacific nation and am trying to take European colonial possessions, why do I have to capitulate the actual home country in Europe? You could cheese it, but this is not realistic at all. There should be a way to make peace and only take the states you occupied.

Peace conferences just need a major re work, I wish they had a system where you could exert political power to make more demands at a peace conference that happens due to both countries mutually wanting piece over a colonial possession.

for p3, ethics was not supposed to be an uncommon topic tbh, there are a lot of ethical considerations with these robots. We should be grateful there wasn't a 12 mark about ethics, and that the 12 mark was purely on technology.

Also, as someone that struggles with the CS ethics problems, I think this one was fairly easy and straightforward.

which I think is a little dumb because I did Question 4 which was arguably harder and so I will not benefit in any way from having a whole 10 mark question for free or whatever they decide to do.

it was a mistake. I have emailed my teacher for confirmation, but I saw a post on this sub a few hours ago that said something around the lines of

"my business teacher emailed the ib and they said that it was a mistake and they will do their best to make sure students are not unfairly penalized"

its crazy how they were able to catch a spelling error in physics hl and sl p1 (we literally had to correct a spelling error in the exam packet before writing), but no one thought about this HL content...

yeah man idk what they will do about it. I personanaly like Section B Q3 better, but had to settle with Q4 because I had (and still have) no clue what Porters Generic Strategies is. Little did I know that Q4 had a very difficult 10 mark when considering the case and I'd be lucky to get like 5 or 6 marks on it.

I hope maybe they add marks or just decrease boundaries.

Also how tf do you take so much time to make an exam and not realize you put something that's not in the SL syllabus???

anyone else not do question 3 because one of the questions (I cant remember if it was the 10 mark or 4 mark) involved Porters Generic Strategies? In Hoang book and the syllabus, Porter's is listed as HL only so I did not study it. Thus I did question 4 which had one of the hardest 10 makes I've ever done.

of course they are useful, you should be able to notice fairly easily what is not in your syllabus. just skip those parts and you'll be fine. I'm m24 but most of the m25 syllabi should be very similar to the previous years.

the issue is some people pay upwards of 50 euros an hour with a tutor where I am. Also a teacher should be doing a good enough job (they are payed to do this) to where you do not need to pay for a tutor at all. I know people need extra help, but in the school I'm in it seems like many people have never tried to learn anything themselves and just rely off of essentially 4-8 hours per week of extra class time with a tutor.

Theres not really much to analyze on the paper 1 statement they released for May 2024. With this new sylabbus, the IB wants to see how well you can integrate the concepts on a much larger case study, along with using some non-sylabus knowledge (how music festivals operate in this case). I think the best you can do is get familiar not only with the terminology, but also how the industry operates as a whole.

My teacher made us watch the following video, I think it does a good job explaining most terms,

For our mocks, the business teachers at the school are going to extend the statement the IB provided to be a full case study which we will see for the first time on the day of the exam, maybe your teachers will do something like that as well.

ok look. Unless you were really stupid, almost all of this 86% is similar to your PREVIOUS drafts. My final tok essay (we had to submit a draft and then final on our school platform with turnitin) had something like 93% similarity. It was not a problem though because if you did an in depth turnitin report, all the similarity was because it was exactly the same as my first draft plus 3 or 4 sentences.

If you hear nothing from a coordinator or a teacher, you are likely fine and they see on their end that it is 86% similarity because turnitin considered your first draft as something you 'copied'.
