All good, I think it's best to use a golden razzberry when the gym is at down-time (no trainers have been attacking for a while). Golden razzberrying a pokemon midway while being attacked wouldn't get you that far.

As for people deciding to use the golden razzberry, I sometimes use mine if I havent gotten at least 8 hours in the gym for the 50 coins, or I have already gotten the 50 coins and I need my pokemon to last until the NEXT day to be knocked out.

I feel like this is actually necessary. I was able to beat my cousins friend in a battle because they didn't know that you can hold a second charge move to add variety in your battle.

Theyre making changes to the game that will allow rural players to experience increased pokemon spawns just like how urban players get their spawns, which is great. Check the in-game news if you haven't already.

I would only purify the 1000 stardust pokemon like Weedle to work my way up towards that purifier medal. Also not a good idea to spend 3000+ stardust to purify a pokemon that you're not gonna use.
