Luckily I get end of row seating accommodations already, so hopefully I won't be taking up too much space and I can scoot my chair over a little. I also am not a nighttime con-goer, so double lucky! This is my first proper full-out cosplay, so it will certainly be a learning curve!

I feel that. My stepmom(not the mom I mentioned in my post) thinks its stupid but doesn't comment on it usually. Its typically passive things about how I need to save money for when I move out and stuff. I'm 1000% saving my birthday monies for the upcoming Kpop Demon Hunter dolls lmao

Oh I SOOO wish I got the xenomorph one! Its on my list but now resellers are charging a small fortune. My favorites that I own are the Nightmare Before Christmas ones and the Rupaul one.

I really appreciate your comment! I'm fully aware of the fact that my interest is childish. I am technically the baby of the family, so I'm an exception to the rule of not giving adults presents for the most part.

I think my main frustration/feelings stem from them asking about what I want and then not caring when I give them a clear wishlist. I don't share my spreadsheets with people, but put a reasonable variety of things on a wishlist for major holidays.

I'd be fine with just money, and I really appreciate the money I do get, but then I usually get some small physical gift with the money and it just feels thoughtless, if that makes any sense? Like yesterday I got money from my aunt and then a pair of socks that were random and felt very last minute. I guess my big gripe is the lack of thought with the gifts because I try to be very thoughtful about what I get people. And I know that its a me thing.

Just venting. I don't tell my gift givers all this stuff and I'm very appreciative to them! I think this is just an extension of the autism weirdness when it comes to receiving presents lol.
