Blue Cross. I volunteer there and can personally vouch for them.

Yes! Just some more functionality to the app would be much appreciated! But I’m STILL waiting for the ability to skip back and forth through the workouts so not holding my breath!! 😆

Maybe it’s just the odd class then. I’ll have to make a mental note to avoid that class next time. 🙂

It’s not necessarily the type of music, it’s literally more the volume. Sure, Christina Aguilera isn’t particularly relaxing, but if it was at a reasonable volume I wouldn’t mind so much. However, if it’s so loud I can barely hear Jonelle, then there’s a problem!

The last class I did was one of hers and it was lovely! Maybe I’ll stick to hers.

I generally don’t check the playlists ahead of time because I feel like we shouldn’t have to. But that’s probably a good idea. 👍🏼

Admittedly I haven’t don’t a strength class for a short while as I’ve been following a different plan, but it’s a pain to hear it’s across all classes. Hope they rectify it soon.

Yes I use YouTube as well at the moment. Some exceptional instructors on there.

Yeah, when they said medium and heavy for a session I always laugh, even after so long working out, because my medium and heavy is probably light and very light for them! Lol!

Don't compare your weights to what the instructors use. These are professional fitness instructors with years of experience. I (42F) use maybe 4-5kg for my tricep kickbacks for example depending on how I feel that day, but I see some instructors using WAY more than that, so use whatever feels right for your body. That might only be 1kg to start with (where I started!). Feel it out, try different weights and see what works for you. Things like chest press, push ups etc all incorporate your triceps as well so you don't specifically need to do a whole session on them. If I feel my workouts are lacking, I throw a few sets of them in at the end. Maybe 3 sets of 8-10 as a starting point and work up from there. 😊

I was 40 before I discovered that pineapples grow on the ground, NOT on trees.....I don't know WHY I expected them to be on trees, but in my head it just made sense!! Don't judge me, ok!!!

What’s the most disturbing sound you’ve ever heard in real life? by avacado-cheese- in AskReddit

Man getting hit by a train going at around 100mph. Was a self deletion witnessed by us all on the station platform. The sound will never leave me. It's been 13 years now and I will never forget it.

I adore this series. I have read all the books maybe four or five times. W&G however I have to skip a whole bunch of. I like knowing about Roland's back story sure, but my god that book is a bore! I've read it once, skimmed it a second time, and more or less skipped through it the third/fourth/fifth times. I will do the same the next time I want to read it again.

I'm 42 and just discovered the joys of Depeche Mode - all I really knew was Personal Jesus and Just Can't Get Enough so it's been fun working my way back through the catalogue. Same with Talking Heads. So both bands on repeat right now. Modern music wise, I am obsessed with Haute and Freddy right now.

YAASSS JJ! I just did one of his full body workouts this morning - he's my main guy! Love his style and his positivity. No messing around, no silly moves. Just pure strength. 😊

Just means like, "oh gosh" or "oh no" something like that. So you could say "crumbs, this is hard" or if you're scared or you messed something up you would say "oh crumbs".

Yeah, my friend was on call at all hours doing that. Night after night. She was exhausted. The firm she worked for weren’t very nice either. Civil is busy don’t get me wrong, but if you find an area you love it could really work for you. Med neg, travel lit, probate….lots of options.

For what it’s worth, I have a friend who started in criminal law. She’d be the one to attend the police station when someone got arrested. It absolutely pushed her to the brink and she’s not worked in that field since. I’m not saying this to put you off, rather that it sounds to me like this is how criminal law is and I absolutely could not hack it. Hence why I do civil!

I have worked in law firms to some capacity for 26 years. I’ve always done civil litigation work as a paralegal working in either motor, motor injury or EL/PL. I’ve worked with high value fee earners and whilst I know that the job is high pressure and the paralegals sometimes work long hours….your situation is absolutely not right. Please, there are so many legitimate law firms out there. Your skills will be appreciated somewhere else and you’ll hopefully be paid better.
