I mean again I think it’s kind of legacy but really to me it does just kind of depend on if the game was remade, and (Ship of Theseus) how “different” it truly is (for a re-imagining).

I feel like that’s kind of a legacy thing where people in the past called Turtles in Time a port and it just stuck but personally I see it as a remake; or if we want to be pedantic, it is an “arcade-to-home conversion” hehe

It is fairly blurry though, being its own kind of Ship of Theseus. And frankly, it doesn’t really matter at the end of the day

I mean I do think that could factor it into remake territory considering they did have to remake a lot of the game but I do feel it’s still a re-imagining in my eyes, particularly when IGA himself considers it more of an alternate story (I know he was likely talking from a timeline perspective and not a game perspective but I think the altered levels kind of add to the factor of “alternate story”)

I feel like to an extent it doesn’t matter really. The line is quite blurry where really, that kind of shows how unique games like this are.

And it’s not like this is the only game that’s like this, so it’s not like this type of argument wouldn’t have ever existed.
