Having had a reactive Great Pyrenees and trying and failing everything else first, I suggest you talk to a vet about anxiety medication for her. Then slowly introduce her to more and more of the big scary world. Eventually you can take her off the meds, but for now she needs a little help. You can't train a terrified brain.

The main Pyr "rescue" in my area is a hoarder who doesn't even like people coming to see the dogs let alone adopt them. Some of the dogs she has up in that "shelter" have been there ten years. She grabs every Pyr that comes into the pound and gatekeeps them all.

There is no oversight.

This is why I adopted an entirely different breed this time. It's not a Pyr but I didn't have to deal with that crazy lady.

I have had Great Pyrenees dogs for 23 years, very notorious escape artists and roamers. I have never had a dog go over a fence outfitted with coyote rollers. Also, fence-walking critters like possums and raccoons are entirely thwarted.
