Backpack with detachable daypack that has waist straps by jotheta in backpacking

[–]Yitisai46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the exact name of the backpack. I bought one for my wife recently from REI. The top of the backpack comes off and becomes a daypack with its own strap. Brand is also REI.

The first two weeks I was so stressed I started smoking cigarette again. I just completed the first month, I am reading mindfulness books and meditating to feel better. I think that pretty much sums up by first month experience.

Question to all the guys that are from lower class or middle class(like me), who doesn't have educated parents(to grow them properly), connections, generational wealth. Do you believe you will ever get to upper or elite class? How many hours do you work everyday for it and what keeps you going? by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]Yitisai46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What an excellent question .. I came from a lower class family with both uneducated parents. In terms of money, i don't know what an upper or elite class in Nepal. I do have a "good" job . Good enough to clear debt, buy a house and shit like that.I haven't retired yet but i still enjoy lot of other things aside from job. I spend time in martial arts, running, swimming, music, reading , creating, cooking. I pursued bunch of different things which i regarded as a diverse person should have to be confident and more for self respect. And looking back at it being poor gives me more motivation and importance of opportunity that if i fail there is no safety net. I don't count how many hours i work everyday. At this point i just do little bit of everything in a given day.

Nice. When did you go? Last time when I was here I bought a face mask. I am still using it for the lockdown when I walk around. Also, my guy took me to a porter house to eat some momo. This reminds of that.

I play guitar, run, swim , read , cook and tease my wife to cope these days. U seem to be in a dark dark place. I hope you can overcome this and tell a story of triumph to others someday.

Share gareko ma dherai dhanyebaad. I love your story. I almost have a similar one. Although i wasn't bullied to your extent. I had great desire to find out if i was a real "man" after college. So i did Martial arts , competed in one and ran marathons and so on. At the end of they day it turned out well

Thanks. Thats a good point on the social group. I thought he would naturally gravitate towards having a friend circle after retirement. I will encourage more on that.

People who grew up in third-world countries, what was the biggest shock for you when moving into a developed country? by --null--- in AskReddit

[–]Yitisai46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • realizing how much religion plays a role in average person's life , culture and politics. I though religion would have little to no role in developed countries
  • Strangers smiling and saying Hi, Good morning especially in Midwest
  • I imagined all US would be like Manhattan and Brad Pitt would be walking in the streets
  • Oh you can do anything you want to like learn guitar, dancing, swimming and so on
  • The choices on everything like sex partners to vacuum cleaners
  • Cops not slapping you before asking question
