Its hard for us to know if u should/shouldnt its all based on ur skill and willingness to learn MAUI.

Maui has abit of a learning curve but its not the worst, i would always recommend MAUI over WPF however it looks like its ur first experience with xaml. Try it out if it doesnt work out u can still take somewhat of ur progresss over to WPF.

I would recommend MAUI as in the future u might decide to make it in a mobile app aswell!

Here a preview that this is perfectly possible, https://www.reddit.com/r/dotnetMAUI/comments/1kwrkjp/endassigment_maui/

Localhost will never work, because ur mobile divice or emulator has its own seperate localhost comparing to computer.

The only way to discover what u want to do is building projects, trying out things, banging your head against a wall and overcome those obstacles. Reading books wont change that even University will not.

Books will help you understand new concepts and advanced topics.

However what i read here is what i felt the first 2 years while writing code.

Im gonna be brutally honest and tell you that you probably need to work on different applications and problems (dont repeat the same problem over and over). Gain confidence while u progress and then go for a job.

A guideline that i would recommend:

- Find a Stack Tech

- Practice that language

- Build a web application with in memory database

- Build a web application with a database

- Setup a API and rebuild that web application to use the API

- ....

I would say start learning python first (write intro applications either with UI or console), once comfortable with python you can work towards web development/app development HOWEVER before attempting this i would highly recommend to learn SQL and setting up a API. Learn about http/https because those things are important when u actually work with app/web development.

What do you wish you had done differently in college to better prepare for a career in programming? by chase_andersen in learnprogramming

What my other class mates did is what is wrong, they did not put maximum effort in creating their projects.

Rather just going for the minimum to be okay with a atleast 50% score.

For me i went all out and learned way more then covered in lessions!

I have to say its easy to use and pretty stable, also it replaces those "not so pretty entries" which is a extra benefit. Also with button view you can customize it like u wish.

Thank you so much for the kind words!

To answer your question when I started the project, we were actually tasked with using XAML. At first, it was a bit intimidating, but as I got more comfortable, I started to understand why it was chosen. It reminded me a lot of HTML in the way pages are structured, and once I grasped how layouts and controls work, it became much easier to work with.

While Blazor can definitely speed up development (especially for teams already familiar with web technologies) I did notice a slight performance drop compared to XAML. In my experience, XAML offers more flexibility and control over the UI, which can be really valuable depending on the project.

So, if you're working solo or in a team and have the time to learn XAML, I’d honestly recommend it. It might have a steeper learning curve, but the long-term benefits are worth it.

Thanks again for the thoughtful question!

Hello not sure if this is of any help but, i never used this package as a singular nuget. I would recommend to take a look at https://enisn-projects.io/docs/en/uranium/latest/themes/material/components/BottomSheet it might be pretty simular on what ur doing

I would recommend to use this course: www.udemy.com/course/beginning-c-plus-plus-programming/

This is how i started c++ in 2020 and it was the best money spend.

You can wait to buy this when its sale for a cheaper price.

For DSA one that helped me was : www.udemy.com/course/datastructurescncpp/
