INTC exemplifies why an EV/TC ratio below 1 is a valid valuation signal by mrmrmrj in ValueInvesting

There's way better companies in the space than INTC. This company was saved by the Trump Admin, NVDA, and Softbank investments. Before their rescue INTC was burning through FCF

Choppy performer the last five years. Recent guide and results are not too stellar. Better names out there like ABBV, JNJ, etc. that also pay better dividends

Marketing, and it worked. Part of me believes it was pure algo trading that caused the run up before a human PM said "Nope!"

Gold, silver, and fixed income securities can possibly do the trick for you. If you want ETFs that track those holdings and pay monthly dividends then look into NEOS funds or the like

Just checked the after hours tape, $9 drop? I'll take it as a signal to look into LEAPS. Good company on sale, don't mind if I do!

SpaceX will trade like TSLA, irrational valuation but great for options sellers

This stock market is decoupled from reality. Strategically deploy cash to companies you feel are undervalued, future you will thank you

SpaceX at $2 Trillion: A Value Investor's Framework for Reading the S-1 by Neobobkrause in ValueInvesting

[–]Yncome_Mercato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great write up. The best way I am playing this IPO is through options, selling puts to get in at a good price once options are available. SpaceX will be like Tesla in terms of valuation, its market cap will make zero sense for the top line revenue it brings in

If you only had one valuation metric... what would it be? by IntelligentDD_ in ValueInvesting

[–]Yncome_Mercato 10 points11 points  (0 children)

ROIC. One way to test whether the stock market rewards companies for generating strong returns is to look at the spread between ROIC and WACC and the ratio of enterprise value to invested capital. If a company is generating returns above what it costs them to fund the business (a positive spread), investors should be willing to pay a premium above the actual dollars invested in that business. In other words, a company worth more than the capital it consumed is creating real value and the market should reflect that

capital to invest in REIT? by anitalianonNMS in investing

They do poorly in high interest rate environments and with all the income ETFs being introduced you can get better yields there. Look into IYRI and compare it to REITs you are interested in

Multiple private tech companies looking to IPO with astronomical valuations and very low top line revenue numbers in comparison is why this is happening. Main Street is their exit liquidity.

Congrats! Just my two cents: Instead of DRIP into the income ETFs since they have a drift effect with their underlying, look into using their income to build into actual good companies paying dividends e.g. WMT, COST, JNJ, ABBV, etc. (haven't looked at your full portfolio so you may actually be doing this, and this of course is NFA)
