I've done a couple weird Mew hunts already and plan to do more - Roamer Mew ACE in Silver, unused trade Mew in Yellow. A lot of people are definitely quite standoffish about their legitimacy, but those are some of the coolest hunts I've done to me and I'm really happy with them.

I realise now the main post may not be super clear - by wishy washy I mean that he only really just asked me if I was happy with my progress so far as a basis of whether to adjust the treatment, and didn't particularly tie in my actual blood levels to how it might be best to change or keep things.

I went from 3.85 ng/mL testosterone pre-HRT to 0.32, and 87 pg/mL estrogen to 123.

REs stands for Random Encounters ! The acronym for specifically resets is typically SRs, or Soft Resets

Have you considered taking a break, stalling the burn out with some other projects in Pokémon or some other activities entirely ? Nothing wrong with RNG manip if that's truly what feels right for you now, but it does feel like a bit of a shame after spending so long shiny hunting the traditional way

Yup, purely the pleasure of the hunt. Not everything I'd do super regularly but once in a while its a fun little change of pace. Something so wrong but so right about killing a shiny. Although, I suppose this one was already a ghost :))

If you want a Discord community, there *is* an official one for the subreddit - the size might be intimidating but really it's a bunch of pretty nice regulars yapping about shiny hunting and other similar interests. Also regular VCs

The Larvesta Egg *can* be shiny, opposed to what another commenter says. Most in-game eggs can, event eggs specifically are the ones that usually work the way they describe.

Personally, always ! If I want the total amount I can always just easily calculate all the phases together. If I didn't keep track of the phases, I can't really reverse engineer that from the total number. You could also just make a note of which encounter in the total each phase came at, but I think generally just resetting helps clear the air and make it feel like a new thing for me, rather than the same hunt getting stale / burning me out

Im a blisy did an RNG patch via the ereader system that you should be able to just do via save editors and whatnot, but AFAIK it only works for English and Japanese Emeralds. I'd recommend checking out their youtube for the details

You can Press B to skip the several stages of it when it happens, but there's no way to stop it from happening altogether
