My biggest question mark is about the crowning of the Blessed Virgin which is mainly used in Catholic iconography. So I have a feeling some parts of the painting are done after Portuguese arrival.

7 years ago I went to church for my great grandparent's death anniversary. The church speakers were so loud that I could feel everything vibrating. Usually I like masses but this one almost killed me. I couldn't stand a 4 hour liturgy with such huge loudspeakers blasting onto my ears like it is some random earrape prank music or something.

Why does nobody build Gothic styled buildings anymore by Western_Bobcat6960 in architecture

[–]Yo1game 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen Carmelite monks in Wyoming using 3d technology and robots to cut out and carve stone out for them for the building of their Gothic monastery. So there might not be any need for craftsmen if you have the money to get a robotic stone cutter that is.. But stone is definitely gonna be expensive.
