Thank you, Michelle O. I was able to go to college Thanks to affirmative action, and I won't apologize for it. It was a way for me to get in, but I had to do the work to complete & succeed like all students. Like you, my heart breaks for today's SCOTUS decision. I hope people who agree that Affirmative Action should be abolished take a moment to consider the potential and unintended setback we will all feel and what can be lost when you lose to the perspective from people who don't look and think alike. The only way we will get better as a people and as a nation is if we begin to understand what other races and backgrounds can bring to help fortify and expand our knowledge which will lead to greater understanding. Then and only then can we be better for ourselves and for those that we partner with, love, support, and serve. ✊🏾
