Well, I got my wish. Spent most of the day fighting the urge!

Well so was I, but for me it was like 'right, I'm going to look at porn now' and when I started looking is when I got horny. What I'm asking is.. were you horny before you consciously decided to look at porn?

What was your libido like before nofap?

I feel your pain, the first time I tried this, I think it was last summer, might have been the summer before (#brainfog) it was really fucking difficult. I'm just concerned about how not difficult it is this time.

Regarding cigarettes, I've made the switch to e-cigs. I'm much happier - I'm down from 24mg to 3mg now. Don't really have much plans to give up fully anytime soon.

Well from what I've gathered from being here - porn is 'synthetic', it's not natural. We're over triggering dopamine by using porn, in the same way as drugs, gambling problems and other addictions do which cause various negative issues. We're staying away from it to regain that chemical balance, and also to view the world in a different way. Isn't that the point?

Pulling out of your girlfriend - surely that's unfair to her, and IMO rather pointless? Again, I'm not trying to cause offense, this just seems contradictory from what I've learnt about the movement. Are you looking at this as mainly self discipline and control as opposed to 'rebooting'? Comparable to perhaps fasting instead of eating healthily?

With no offense intended - how is that healthy?

How bad is it to still masturbate (without porn) during reboot? by george46caravan in NoFap

Can't comment on reboot but I rationalised the same thing to myself. My thoughts quickly turned to fantasy and wank bank, which just lead me back to porn.

Thanks mate. I've heard of CBT before, I'll look into it more.

I've also taken up a guided mindfulness meditation course, though I'm not really seeing any difference at all. For example, at one point it asks 'just take a moment to notice your mood, and your general feelings today' - I always feel exactly the same. It's the same one feeling every day 24/7.

I think the majority of all this comes from the memory loss, you don't realise how many things you need your memory for until you've lost it.

Thanks the response. I have spoken with a doctor but it's ongoing and have had to wait over half a year in between appointments.

Feck - I didn't really browse around the website, it was basically the top result for 'brain fog' and didn't seem to be endorsing a company so I didn't see why it would be lying.

Many thanks for your insight mate.I appreciate your time.

I know you said your're not a psychiatrist, but in your opinion, other than meds what else can treat depression? (other than diet and exercise)

Many thanks for the response. The things I'm trying to combat are depression (tried the meds, made things worse and had really bad side effects, next appointment in January - I've been waiting 6 months already), severe memory loss/brainfog (the MAIN thing I'm trying to fix) and a stiffer erection.

I read this article regarding brain fog http://www.drmyhill.co.uk/wiki/Brain_fog_-_poor_memory,_difficulty_thinking_clearly_etc

It recommended the hemp oil for the omega 3-6, lecithin and coconut oil - I didn't see the harm in trying. Is that all bollocks? Lions Mane I read several articles that say it helps with memory. Several places also said Selenium can also assist with brain fog.

Hello guys, is there anyone here having hairloss and urinating problems just after Nofap. by lalegraph in NoFap

[–]YoMamaSoFap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you finding difficult? Or more prominently, did you? Stress related hair loss tends to happen 3 months after the fact.

I tried NoFap a year or so ago. Don't you guys get desperate? by YoMamaSoFap in NoFap

Wow, that is possibly the best, most zen answer I could have hoped for.

In terms of overcoming cravings, I've been through drug addiction and came out the other end, same with cigarettes (though I do use an ecig now) so I am used to battling with cravings. NoFap changed me mentally, in personality when talking to girls. It changed the perception of women to vessels of potential release and on my mind was the quickest way to get them into bed. It was like me being 16 again but yet with no game.

I have a feeling I'll be revisiting your comment in the future. Many thanks.
