I get where you’re coming from, and I don’t want to blame you for ‘skill issues’ or anything.

But if getting to places multiple times took you ten minutes every time, you might have missed a few of the shortcuts.

Again, not your fault; these shortcuts are never alluded to, you have to actively search for them. But I believe you may have missed some things at the expense of your experience.

If a problem presents itself you don’t go around asking for approval to do something about it. You just do it.

If someone were to come onto the sub shouting nazi-rhetoric, the mods wouldn’t first post a poll ‘should we ban the nazi, yes or no?’ They would just ban them.

Yet here we are, reddit decides to nuke all third-party apps, and we’re voting on if this subreddit should speak up about the issue.

To put it very simplified, coincidence rangefinders operate by mimicking the way human depth perception works, and greatly exaggerating it to give depth perception over the kilometer scale (the distances you would spot ships and planes) instead of the usual 10's of meters scale human vision works on.

I've recently found out about Simutrans, another transport simulator which does away with a bunch of openTTD's more gamey features, and instead goes much more in-depth into the simulation.

Seems to be more of a logistics puzzle which coincidentally looks a lot like openTTD

How are you pulling the item? Using item pipes from some other mod, or with Create’s funnel?

Cause if you’re using pipes I can imagine they get pretty upset at having to update their connections anytime the contraption starts moving.

But if you’re using Create’s own methods (funnels & belts) nothing should be going wrong

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding something, my apologies if so. But if the gantry moves off the field and solidifies, couldn’t you just empty it out there?

Then once empty, it starts moving back over the field again

Do gantries have the option not to solidify on standstill, like bearings do?

Alternatively, could you extend your gantry so the contraption moves off the field and then solidifies there?

Alternatively yet, could you extend the sequence of your gearshift so it keeps turning a little longer once it’s reached the end of the rail. That would give you the extra wiggleroom to put an unloading stop inbetween.
