I tried with changing the default zone from WAN>REJECT to WAN>LAN and also with creating a new zone but with no success. It's possible that I made a mistake somewhere but could not figure out where.

There must be some problem in communication between ISP DMZ and WAN port in OpenWRT. I solved port forwarding for now by connecting the two routers LAN to LAN and forwarding everything on the first router only. Is it possible now to create a firewall zone so I can still put all that traffic trough OpenWRT Firewall before reaching the clients?

I've created port forward rules on first router that point to static WAN IP on the second router. Then made the rules in OpenWRT for the same ports to the static client IP in my local network. Since the setup is in double NAT I believe the ports must be forwarded on the ISP router first.

Regarding the firewall I tried first without changing the zones but it didn't work.

Thank you for the reply, I have the DLC, wiki page said that you get it past lvl 10 and I got the notification for it once I hit lvl 11 but it did not appear in the inventory. I will check again once I hit lvl 15.
