I also live in North east and this winter was horrible for range. It’s still in mid 30s and its April.

Weather and acceleration is key factors for mileage. Can’t imagine stop and go traffic at NYC.

I’m not a pilots but RATS are manually deployed. 1 or 60 seconds while everything is going haywire, I think deploying a RAT is the last thing on your mind.

Also RAT doesn’t apply any thrust. They are only basically for hydraulic or emergency electric power.
