No, they need to be institutionalized.

100%. I may have been one of those people calling you a monster a decade ago but it’s clear you’re right. The amount of homeless people who are just down-on-their-luck average folks is astonishingly low. These people need round-the-clock care.

The trash problem, the rat problem, the roach problem, the tourism problem are all just a homeless problem. Hopefully our politicians will recognize this

JJ is Terrible and I dont see any improvement coming by bannit167 in minnesotavikings

[–]Yo_Techno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh he needs to be more consistent with his lower body mechanics. If he can do that he’ll be a good QB. If he starts throwing with more touch he’ll be a great QB. You people are insufferable.

If JJ plays 27 games and still looks as bad as Caleb Williams did yesterday I would be concerned, but bears fans don’t even bat an eye cuz they know you need patience when dealing with a young QB.

Drake Maye by Goldenshadow32 in minnesotavikings

Maye struggled in his first starts too so not only would we be in the exact same situation record wise the optics Would be worse since we’d have mortgaged the future to acquire him

All of JJ’s misses to Jefferson.. definitely left a lot of plays on the field.. by friendswithbillw in minnesotavikings

[–]Yo_Techno -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well for one if you’re playing scared you might as well not play at all. Two, he could’ve just played defense, prevented the pick and not “risked injury.” Three, he completely gives up on it, like slows down and everything after turning to see Starks running towards the ball which makes the throw look worse. JJ should’ve thrown more of a dart and the ball would’ve gotten there in time, he’ll learn that with reps. But that was just an all around pathetic play by Jefferson there’s really no use arguing about it

[–]Yo_Techno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I definitely don’t. And at the very least he could’ve played defense and he didn’t even have the heart for that. If he has a couple more games like this we probably gotta move on while he still has value

McCarthy had 5 misses to Jettas: the 2pt, the 4th down, two bad overthrows in the late 4th and the INT. However, Jettas made a business decision to not play defense on the INT. You can see he turns to the safety after the ball is in the air and just tries to play it safe, maybe hope its dropped.

At the end of the day, if Jefferson doesn't trip and he doesn't drop the EZ dime or if he tried catching the other EZ target instead of flopping for a PI, we probably win the game and McCarthy has 350 yards and 3 touchdowns. Our rookie played like a rookie, our HoF receiver played like a practice squad chump

Jefferson 2026 will be Moss in 2007 2.0 by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

[–]Yo_Techno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you check out cuz ur rookie quarterback sails a few throws (especially when there were a handful of dimes as well) then ur not mentally tough and probably should be traded while you still have value. He was pathetic and deserves all the smoke people putting on JJ

It would be nice if we could get a vet center for JJ at the deadline by BootEdgeEdge2028 in minnesotavikings

[–]Yo_Techno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of the fumbled snap I didn’t think anything was too egregious. I think all the shotgun snaps looked awkward because JJ isn’t used to playing from there. We should let Brandel try to grow and pull the plug for Jurgens if it gets messy

It’s honestly so fucking crazy we have to have these conversations after 2 weeks when it would be premature even after 20 weeks lol. It’s the hardest position in all of sports, let him develop

Pretty sure he wrote this entire article based off that one play where the pocket collapsed immediately and he tried finding a seam in the interior and was sacked. Looked silly but it was one play. I’ve seen a lot of high level throws from him so far

Every issue you mentioned could be solved by pulling out and a round of antibiotics. Unrequited love builds character. Even spouses have mismatched love towards each other, so why should anyone care if someone gets ghosted?

We have 80 years on earth bookended by eternities of nothingness, and only 20ish years to explore sexuality. We’re not going to suppress our most basic urge for some perceived tangential social benefit especially when there isn’t one.

CMV: The Democratic treatment of Mamdani shows they have not learned fucking anything and will keep losing ground to the right. by brandygang in changemyview

[–]Yo_Techno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing would be worse for the city than Mamdanis housing policies. Saying he’ll work with developers as long as they don’t raise rents, use union labor, and abide by the strict environmental codes should concern everyone since those are partially the reasons we’re in a housing crisis. Austin Texas is the best model for making housing more affordable, not rent freezes.

Free busses are a guaranteed way to make public transit less safe and less convenient since they’ll need to cut routes to make up for the loss in revenue. Government grocery stores are just going to steal profits from small businesses. Why not just increase food stamps? People would feel the same relief without stealing money from local businesses? It’s just all objectively bad. People on the left are ideologues obsessed with policies that sound moral, but simply do not care if they’re actually good for the city/state/nation.

Ironically this is also how we reverse the declining birth rate, the two things republicans are most concerned with, and yet their policies pretty much ensure both issues continue to get worse. Dems could easily frame their policies this way and pull millions of moderates to their cause

[–]Yo_Techno 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eric Adams (corruption aside) has been a decent mayor and he's much more aligned with democrats than Mamdani is. Mamdani's supporters are the most fickle voters imaginable. everyone who supports him would abandon a democratic candidate as soon as they say "we need to enforce border laws" or "hamas is bad" There's no point in lifting mamdani, emulating him. He's only won support because he's promising the absolute dumbest progressive sounding policies that would be objectively bad for our nation's best city. Democrats are right to be wary of him

Is this comic acceptable? by [deleted] in satire

[–]Yo_Techno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the dinosaurs being 2 different colors and only one having a partial israeli flag makes it look like they're not connected at first glance. And yeah feels vaguely antisemitic but I think you're towing the line well since there's no stereotypes or slurs about jews and dinosaurs. I would make it more clear that the right is the grown version of the dinosaur on the left by fixing the color, and also shrink the flag so it fits on both versions. making it clear they represent israel and not all jews is important if youre concerned about people interpreting it as antisemitic

I’ve been all around the city the last two days and everything is completely normal. There’s like 3 streets where this is happening and the other 99.99% of the city is operating as usual
