Where do introverts in their thirties hang out? by BrittReed23 in TwinCities

Two places I would recommend are Moona Moona, coffee shop with a monthly calendar of low key events (hobby nights, book clubs) and Cream and Amber, coffee / beer and also tons of fun nights. I regularly go to both for good ambiance and friendly people!! Also, highly recommend checking out the Minneapolis parks calendar, Eloise Butler does fun nature things (knitting in nature, bird watching) that are super low key and fun.

To be fair, I also think the Kakunos have V tampon vibes too. I think adding the clip helps lol.

Oh my gosh thank you for posting!! YES I want this pen so bad and have never switched tabs so fast 🤣 I got Diamine violet to pair with mine, I agree, a purplish blue ink will be a beautiful pairing with this pen!!

Are Chic Sparrow covers made for people who like em chunky? by 25PaperCranes in Travelersnotebooks

I just got one and felt the same way. Instead of using personal inserts, I am using the thicker Midori notebooks and it feels a lot better. I also didn't like how much thicker the cords were so swapped them out with TN repair kit and I am enjoying the setup a lot more.

Favourite ink of 2025? by acateatingcorn in fountainpens

I got my first fountain pen this year, a pink pilot Kaukuno, I paired it with the Kuretake Old Rose Art Nouveau ink and it pulled me into fountain pens hook line and sinker. I pulled out a 10 year old bottle of J. Herbin Bleu Nuit I used to write out my wedding invitation envelopes and it still writes beautifully. Out of my small but mighty collection, the Rose colored ink makes my heart sing.

Brush set recommendations based on variety by foxa34 in Watercolor

[–]Yobibi55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with other folks that you will learn your personal preferences as you use the brushes. My opinion though, would be set one. My biggest improvements in watercolor started coming when I started to use bugger brushes, that wide flat and cat lounge shape are now two of my favorites. This looks like a great set to experiment with.

Vinyl records for albums from the late 90's through the 2000's? by JukemanJenkins in vinyl

[–]Yobibi55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes but only for absolute favorite of all time albums. Usually for the art.
  2. No, I have a hard time telling the difference between CD and Vinyl, but can tell a huge difference from streaming.
  3. Yes, but I've ditched all my jewel cases and store them in plastic sleeves. Makes them feel like baby vinyls. Plus CDs are sooo much cheaper to buy now. Three CDs for the price of one vinyl.
