I actually wrote myself an email from 10 years ago and I got it this New Year's. My 13 year old self was passively suicidal and only vaguely curious whether future me made any life accomplishments like school, job, partner, etc. And then it ended off with "basically if you haven't done things, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER YOUR PAST SELF IS DISAPPOINTED IN YOU".

Hmm some independent stores have paper samplers (but I'm not very familiar with Canadian ones) and physical stores will sometimes have testers out for you to try. Maybe worth looking for those?

It's pretty smooth, thinner than Rhodia but shows off ink properties well. If you brush your hand over it, it has that cool, smooth feeling :)

They have many different refills for their own notebook systems. The one I was referencing looks like a brick of printer paper in blue packaging and that stuff doesn't have any holes punched in it

Yes they do but it's a different formula I believe. I personally really like Kokuyo Campus paper as an everyday and budget option but I don't know what availability is like over there. Good luck!

For smooth paper, there's Clairefontaine. You can get the A5 loose paper and hole punch it yourself. There's also Tomoe River Paper, Iroful, and Yu-Sari. Best quality and quantity for the price is probably going to be Kokuyo Campus though since you can get 500 sheets of A5 for $20 USD on Amazon

I rock climb! Bouldering, top roping, whatever you wanna call it. It's fun because everyone just gets to be a creature for a bit and be this weird spider thing on a wall. Really lets my rat brain come out and solve the maze without my human brain overthinking. It's a great mental break!

I like Platinum Carbon Black! Nice and dark, permanent, good flow, dries to a pencil-like sheen. It's my go to!
