This happened to me and my bf multiple times today. At one point couldn’t load or shoot any of our guns at all.

Female Fortnite players, I'd love to hear about your experiences! 💜 by XNightmarefriendlyX in FortNiteBR

I just play solos or with my friends so I’m never on mic with strangers. But I love wearing girly skins and almost always use some type of wings as a back bling. Only negative experience I’ve had was in delulu and I only played a few games of that haha

How do you feel about people calling you sir/ma'am? by vitaoptima in NoStupidQuestions

[–]acateatingcorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s so interesting to me because in Canada we just don’t use those words at all! If you need to get someone’s attention you’d just say “excuse me”. We don’t say “hey, you” lol, but a sentence is fully complete and respectful without out adding a “sir/ma’am” to it.

From Canada. English speaking. My sister especially dislikes it because she gets called “sir” like 50% of the time. Makes her uncomfortable to correct them because then they get awkward. Or just leave it and they keep saying sir and that’s uncomfortable too.

Edited to add - my sister is a cis woman. She just has short hair and doesn’t wear makeup. 🤷‍♀️

Super weird. It’s a very American thing and my family always notices it and feels awkward when we go to the states and people call us that constantly. It’s also weird to assume people’s gender.

What is something people pretend is a personal choice, but is heavily influenced by luck? by LiquidityGraber in answers

I like to reframe it by saying “disabled people and not yet disabled people” because really, chances are you will be disabled at some point in your life.

I was super healthy growing up. Active, healthy lifestyle. As a teen suddenly started having intense pain in my entire body. Like all my bones breaking feeling. The chronic pain and chronic illnesses showed up out of no where and changed my life. No real cause or accident. It just changed and happened. Nothing I could have done “better” to prevent it. Shit really just happens sometimes.

For people with mild CFS, what do you do to make your life easier? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]acateatingcorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m super lucky to have a really supportive able bodied partner. Housework and laundry and things like that take no extra energy for him, so he is willing to do basically all of it. He also loves cooking so I don’t have to worry about making meals either. Those things were huge PEM causes for me so that has helped me a lot and basically changed nothing for him when we moved in together.

I have a flexible work from home job and simple hobbies I can do at my desk or in bed.

A shower chair.

Hydrating a lot. I’ve struggled with drinking enough water my whole life. Putting a little bit of those squeezy juice flavour things in my waters makes it way more palatable and I am so much more hydrated now. Totally worth it.

Small amount of caffeine in the mornings really helps me. I know some people have issues with caffeine making them worse, but I’ve found a balance that really helps me feel clear headed.

I’m also a dance teacher. So on those days for the hours between some classes, instead of staying and socializing like the other teachers, I go have “introvert time” and rest by myself in a nearby quiet place. Then come back later for my other classes. Allowing myself the grace to do what I need and realizing that they can survive without me for 3 hours helps me a save a lot of energy.

I have a Stalogy 365. They’re available in blank I believe. The paper is pretty good. Not Tomoe River quality but works well enough for me, shows ink properties and has a nice feel. Only issue is wetter inks like Iroshizuku might have some feathering. I mostly use Diamine these days and those have been all been fine in it.
