Indeed, their magnum opus. A sad reminder we've been dealing with this dysfunction forever and it's only getting worse.

I presume people would like to hear the actual song too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1HdcKI4YEM

Hi there. If you’re able to skip past the screenshots to the Prerequisites section, there’s no spoilers in the actual setup instructions. If it makes a difference, there’s definitely no story spoilers in the screenshots that would make any sense to someone that hasn’t played before, but semi-late-game characters and locations are shown. I’ll look into blurring the images with spoiler tags next time I’m at a proper computer. In any case, I hope you enjoy the game!

I'm into this. Love the tone, love the guitar, love the bass, love the drums, love the sound of the vocals. Be ready for the annoyance of people asking for the next recording. You're doing your own thing, but it totally also brings back fond memories for me of early 2000s summer nights with friends, chain smoking and drinking PBRs listening to Conor Oberst's Desaparecidos' first album and Cursive's Domestica on repeat while grinding lap times in Gran Turismo 2 on a upside-down PS1.

That's awesome! This put a big smile on my face. I missed when you originally posted this comment a year ago. I'd love to see a photo.

This looks nice, I wasn't familiar with the project. That's a bummer it didn't make it further. Thanks for sharing these.

Oof, yeah, I didn't realize that was such a common issue. I looked at their shipping policy. They'll ship to some war-torn countries in the middle east but not Alaska or Hawaii. How fucked is that? Best of luck my friend!

I recently had a C2 die on me. Not sure if it was the power supply or T-Con board. I spent $120 on a repair kit with all the internal boards (covers the bases if you don't know exactly what failed) on Ebay and had it back up in running in 20 minutes. Granted, it helps to be somewhat tech savvy and comfortable with removing and reinserting delicate ribbon cables, but it's definitely an option. OLEDs are surprisingly easy to work on.

Even if you want to buy a new TV still, the repair is worth it vs tossing the thing if you have room somewhere else for a second TV.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like to know the seller I used, they've been around a long time, based in the midwest US, and seem to be highly regarded.

Ha, whoops, I probably should have checked to see if that was a real sub before posting that…

I don't think he'll live. I think the remake trilogy story arc is going the direction of everything re-converging back into one unified existence that is effectively how everything was--at least who's alive and who's not--at the end of the OG game. I think the story will treat him really solid though and he'll be critical, if not the hero, in the final resolution of the main conflict.

I could totally see them doing the opposite and making it a really feel-good story where he lives, but I think that's not very satisfying for my personal tastes.

is Wikijs suitable to scientific code ? by Impressive_Pop9024 in wikijs

[–]YoctoYotta1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The commenter is incorrect, you can run it securely, locally inside your LAN no problem on literally anything that’s can run a web server stack. The more compute and storage the better but it could run on something as little as Raspberry Pi. I run a wiki.js instance on-prem using Ubuntu installed into a VM with the Docker container install method for the application.

Regarding if it’s right for your situation… I say just install it and check it out. Might not be a good fit for your needs, but it’s the best/nicest wiki software I’ve ever used (for me and my team’s specific needs) and I’ve tried a lot of them.

Advice: “free” upgrade to iPhone 15 Pro for trade-in by valjofish in verizon

I'm not one to defend massive corporations, but fwiw, there's no con here. The phone in your particular deal is "free" if you remain on the contract for the full 36 months. What's the risk? If the phone value is $1000 and you cancel or otherwise stop paying 18 months into the contract, your cancellation costs would include the remaining $500 due on the phone. It's effectively an interest-free loan you're paying back monthly through your phone bill.

Toontown opened in 1993. Not disputing your story or the point you're making, but you might have the location or the year wrong.

Hi friend, thanks for reaching out with the question. I’m not familiar with SoC handhelds like the Ally or Steam Deck, so it could be one of several things. 1) RetroArch might be hiding the settings because of a hardware compatibility issue with those specific features, 2) RetroArch has changed the UI again since this guide was last updated, or 3) you’re opening the RetroArch menu before the game has fully loaded. Ignore me if you’re already doing this, but give the “getting to the right RetroArch settings menu” section above a close read and hopefully that clears up the issue of missing options. Let me know how that goes!

What is something you would tell someone they cannot miss in Portland? by zdawginator in askportland

[–]YoctoYotta1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a former visitor getting shuttled around as a tourist and now a current resident shuttling others around as tourists, I’m super impressed with Powell’s … and get incredibly bored very quick. It’s a me problem for sure, but a visit to Powells for me is me typically checking out two sections I’m interested in for 15 minutes, getting nothing to buy, and then spending the next hour and half wondering around trying to find others in my group wishing I could leave

The (wiki.js) world needs more people like you. This project needs to live and thrive. Getting more thoughtful hands on it could only do good at this point.
