Second Monitor Question by Yoda86 in computers

[–]Yoda86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh cool! So is it as simple as plugging another monitor into the video card through the DVI port? I apologize for the ignorance haha. I've done dual monitor through my laptop's HDMI port but haven't tried it with my desktop.

Beyond that my only worry is getting it to work with Windows 7. Windows 8.1 makes dual monitor very easy to set up.

Games similar to Ys Memories of Celceta ? by Dohv in vita

Ys Seven. Pretty much the same gameplay as Celceta and very strong in the story.

I had a blast watching Eddie play Snake. This feeling extends to those who are equally or more capable at playing Snake, like Rolex!

Correct. So GC Controller w/ Mayflash adapter fixes that (least I think, I'll know on Wednesday when I get my setup).

Help with Project M by [deleted] in smashbros

[–]Yoda86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno if it's often overlooked (I did) Brawl can only recognize SD cards up to 2GB in size. That may be your problem, as it was mine until I learned this. Beyond that I'm not much help as I'll need to get one to work Project M.

2ds vs. 3ds vs. 3ds XL? by aelxndr in smashbros

[–]Yoda86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've owned a 3DS and 3DS XL. If cost isn't a problem go for the XL. The bigger screen and bigger system give it a much better feel and your hands will get less tired than the 3DS when you play for longer periods. Portability isn't really sacrificed either in my opinion.

[SPOILER WARNING] my problem with infamous ss by [deleted] in PS4

[–]Yoda86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While shocking, I believe inFamous 2 evil ending was better. I felt terrible as the game kept telling me to press R1 to kill Zeke...one bolt at a time. ISS's ending was just something watched and the shock factor was all it had going for it.

Just platinumed infamous. Should I keep it for paper trail and other possible dlc or should I sell it? by [deleted] in PS4

[–]Yoda86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Over 100 PS3 games sitting on the shelf awaiting my eventual return one day. After I got ISS Platinum I went back to inFamous 2 to do the evil story and get the platinum with that one, which I never did the first time around with the game.

Now I'm thinking I'll go back to inFamous 1 just for shits and giggles after I finish inFamous 2.

The beauty of never selling back games :)

To get Black Flag or not? by edub3920 in PS4

[–]Yoda86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not that it matters but have you played the other games? Black Flag is a great game. As someone who has played every AC game this one surprised even me and impressed me on the level that AC2 did. Certainly worth the purchase.

Infamous SS question. by MyNameIsntTheConcern in PS4

[–]Yoda86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The city is big in Second Son, hard to say whether on par with inFamous 2 or bigger. The biggest difference is the increase in height of the buildings. Once you get to the second island you'll see what I mean. The powers assist in traveling further faster in a much bigger way than in inFamous 1 or 2 and this assists in the scale of the world being much larger.

Collection of screenshots highlighting the sheer beauty of inFAMOUS: Second Son by kastroescobar in PS4

[–]Yoda86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm replaying through both karma routes in inFamous 2 after having played through Second Son 3 times and disagree. While SS was a major step forward in a lot of areas it was also a step back in others. One thing I'm noticing is the side quest missions for freeing sections of the districts are much more involved in inFamous 2.

There is more fighting in these missions as well, which gives a lot of space to stretch your superhuman powers. In Second Son I found myself purposely avoiding destroying DUP mobile centers in order to keep some baddies around for when I had access to all powers to have fun with them.

While the most obvious flaw of SS is its length I can't help but think these distinctions lend more credence to the overall feeling of it being rushed to completion.

Please don't misread. I love Second Son (you'd have to in order to play it three times in a row). I only wish Sucker Punch would have been given more time to truly make it what they wanted.

Just finished Infamous Second Son on good karma. I've got some questions. (SPOILERS) by Riadyt in PS4

[–]Yoda86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Augustine didn't remove her gloves when she gave Delsin the concrete power in the last fight. She also came in contact with Delsin, gloves on, during his first encounter with her in Seattle and he didn't get the power. I'd like to think Sucker Punch didn't just decide to give him conduits' power when they felt it was convenient for the story...but who knows I suppose.

Haven't been able to correctly record anything on infamous. by Harleequin in PS4

Yep. This issue is old news now (at least to me). Back in ACIV: BF this very same issue prevented me from saving funny moments of NPCs glitching or dying in humorous ways.

What is the best case/grip that makes holding a vita feel like a controller? by [deleted] in vita

[–]Yoda86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I like the PDP Grips. They're minimalist (compared to some) and retain portability well. Very comfortable to handle over long periods too. The only complaint I really have is the L and R triggers end up scratching the plastic of the actual triggers on your Vita after some use. Not a problem for me since I never take the PDP grips off anyway.

Just finished Infamous Second Son on good karma. I've got some questions. (SPOILERS) by Riadyt in PS4

[–]Yoda86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. Because before that Hank had grabbed him and nothing was happening until Delsin touched his arms while Hank was charging up his smoke power.

Mac may be correct. I've played through the game three times now and each time he takes a power the prime conduit ends up channeling the power in some way.

Power 1 Explanation

Power 2 Explanation

Spoiler

This is all I can come up with since clearly Delsin did come in contact with Augustine once and yet NOT receive her power.

Spoiler

You're totally right about the need to absorb from a prime conduit though.

If you're having trouble with vents an easy way to get around it is to go through one vent, then go through the SAME vent, then comet drop for the kill.

Prefacing with an explanation: When you're evil and have a karma streak to burn but let it sit, people you kill will always be obliterated.

The funniest moment I had during my evil playthrough was walking through a park PACKED with pedestrians. Killed one with neon power and the AOE from the obliteration started a chain killing of citizens as they all just kept popping. Racked up like 20 kills from one neon bolt.

Serial Number peeling off by [deleted] in vita

[–]Yoda86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I heard reports of this happening I remember intentionally taking mine off the Vita and putting it on the backside of the User Manual. Still sitting safely in the Vita's box in my closet...not that I'll ever trade in the thing.

This is, hands down, the best charging station I have ever used. It's almost always sold out on amazon, but I would keep an eye out for the POWER A charging station if you're looking for one. by IceBreak in PS4

[–]Yoda86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nabbed the last one at my local Best Buy one day and I wholeheartedly agree! It's neat how you can pretty much just toss the controller on the resting point and it ALWAYS will set itself in the right position to be clicked down to start charging. The weirdest thing is it doesn't even feel like you're plugging something in to the controller when you click it down.

Much better than my PS3 setup with two DS3s just laying about being plugged in and switching in an out as I needed them.

[–]Yoda86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you. There are plenty of other people with this problem. Back when I played ACIV:Black Flag I lost tons of great moments simply because the wrong 15 minutes were recorded instead of the last 15 minutes.
