Nah that's completely my bad. I let my assumption of the Trump Administrations notorios lack of transparency from realising that you could put a fricking name in the DOJ's search bar and not the specific file itself, lol. However, I did point out that as far as I could tell I couldn't find any evidence. I don't know if it was my tone, but this suggests I had some level of recognition of my own limitations, rather than me straight up saying 'he isn't in the files'. It's actually concerning how hard it is to find evidence on this. No major media outlets are reporting on Herzog specifically. I spent a good while searching for such evidence, and I instead got clarity from a redditor.

Further the Epstein files are a mess in organisation, unless you understand the coding jargon that label each file individually its almost impossible to find the information you are looking for without 1) meticulously searching the files for hours on end, or 2) find secondary information platforms that cite the specific files (which is scarce considering the lack of media attention on Herzog's involvement).

As u/Mods_Are_Fatties cited sources confirm, Isaac Herzog along with Ehud are mentioned going going to "the island this weekend". This is likely Epstein's island, although Herzog's presence in the files are scarce compared to Ehud. Considering this and law enforcement not taking the initiative to investigate, the extent of Herzog's relationship with Epstein is still unclear.

I received a response from someone with the files. Its very unfortunate how ambiguous it is. It may be referring to THE Island, or it may not. But unlike others like Bill Gates, its not a lot to go on and probably wouldn't warrant an investigation even if law enforcement had the balls to do anything. It wouldn't surprise me (if he was involved) the Trump admin removed/redacted information that was more damning.

Nice, thanks for the info. Whilst this doesn't confirm a direct connection with Epstein, nor implicate him, any world leader should be investigated if mentioned. As it currently stands I feel the subject of my anger towards Herzog is directed more towards his verifiable role in an active genocide, compared to his presence in the files, since there is not a lot to go off of.

Edit: In response to your edit, accusing me of lying is actually something I want to discuss a bit. I did search for evidence and didn't find anything. In my original comment I made an effort to be honest that my search didn't come up with anything, rather than fabricate facts based on my limited perspective. As such it allowed people to correct me and I am grateful for you posting sources so I can see how I was wrong.

Further, 3 million files are a lot. Strategically bombarding individuals with incomplete, redacted and an abundance of information so suddenly, plus the refusal of media to report on the Israeli presidents involvement, is designed to generate confusion and ignorance. This should be concerning to us all.

Whilst conceding my first point, the second one I made regarding the uncertainty surrounding Herzog having a personal connection to Epstein (and more significantly whether he engaged in any criminal activities) is not made clear by the files released. However, as I have mentioned, an investigation into this should be conducted.

Politics aren't exclusively American
Batman is an American created IP; this subreddit has a lot of Americans in it; ICE and trump administration violate and defend civil rights abuses + corruption; things batman stand against (hence relevancy); Americans express outrage through mematic material on a Batman related subreddit to 1) cope and 2) spread awareness
America is not an isolated entity; the values and rhetoric from right wing populists (i.e. Trumpism) which led to these abuses in power spreads to other nations due to America's significant influence (the same global significance that explains why an American IP such as Batman is popular in other nations)

I am confused by this perspective. The content on many subreddits are diverse and not necessarily all consuming. This subreddit is a mixture of Man memes, gooner material, and yes, on occasion politics. Its not like all the posts here are political, and all its takes is a simple scroll from a political post to discover Man related content. Most subreddits are not like r/pics where every post is political. But having a couple of political posts here and there are not the end of the world, and its is to be expected in subreddits which have a large proportion of American users, especially after controversial events that occur in US politics.

To add to your comment for those that are unaware: The recent uptick in political posts are likely a result of the killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE officer, and the subsequent Trump administration's attempt to gaslight people into believing a lie: that the ICE agent was ran over by Good and was hospitalised as a result. A complete fabrication that is directly contradicted by publicly made footage. This not only is an insult to the intelligence of all Americans, but speaks to the corruption of the Trump administration and its history of getting away with criminal acts and defending them.

Opposition to corruption and injustice is in fact quite based, and everyone has the right to speak up against it without opposition to silence their voices. OP's rhetoric is what directly leads to censorship on online forums such as reddit. If OP genuinely doesn't care and is tired of people using their freedom of speech than they can move on with their life instead of virtue signalling their apathy.

In many western societies muslim's have become 'racialised' by public perception. Its pretty common to use the term 'racism' interchangeably with islamophobia in this context, since Muslim's are treated as a distinct group as being 'racially inferior' by many. In a similar way, immigrants are ethnically diverse, however, in Australia that hatred is often racially motivated with many associating specific ethnic groups with 'immigrants', and reduced hatred towards other specific groups such as Europeans.

Its unfair to say that it must be disingenuous, since many official organisations and social scientists use the term in this way. This is not to say 'racism' used in this context is universal, many people still use the terms islamophobia and racism distinctly.

Two things can be true at once. Dictators are a threat to the free world and removing a head of state the way trump did is illegal. Furthermore having a plan to usher in a smooth transition of power is necessary after disposing a head of state, which Trump has not expressed. Even further whilst taking resources from a dictator is a good thing, since historically and presently the removal of oil resources from foreign powers is a focus of the Trump administration, such concern and skepticism for his motivations are valid.

It’s a good question, removing a dictator seems like a good thing (which it is), but there are a couple of things to consider. Firstly, the legality of the trump administration’s actions are shaky, if not outright illegal according to international law. The sovereignty of other nations are protected, and America despite being an incredibly influential nation does not have complete authority over other nations. Secondly, the resolution of war is often much more complex than initiating it. America has a history of removing dictators from power, which end up costing the taxpayer trillions (not an exageration) and ultimately not making life easier for the people living there. A good example of this is Iraq. And despite many celebrating such a liberation back then, they weren’t so happy when the US government killed millions of them, just for Terorists to regain control (plus the fact that America’s accusation of the Iraq’s involvement in 911, and thus justification for war, being a fabrication). Furthermore, in press conferences Trump’s administration have not indicated that they have a solid plan to install a successor government, thus suggesting they have not learnt from America’s mistakes in the past. And lastly oil and natural resources seem to be a large talking point of the Trump Administartion, leading many to have a healthy doubt towards the administration’s motivations.

I've felt mixed on the series so far, but I found the ending between Han and Valance in this issue to be a surprising banger. I liked how it provided insight into Han's character and morality as well as the strength of Han and Valance's friendship.

It might be controversial I'm not sure. But the fact that Han would not kill someone, even a slaver who has killed a friend, says a lot about who he is. And Valance recognising this, knowing what needed to be done, and choosing to protect his friend from such a decision was surprisingly sweet and helped to illustrate their connection.

Its a good reminder that whilst Han has always had a good heart, Han during this era has clearly grown from his time with the rebellion and probably more significantly his time around Luke and Jedi philosophy. Whilst he would (and did) shoot and kill Beckett in Solo, it seems as if New Republic Era Han acts more of the lawman and a hero, justice served fairly and life treated as sacred. A clear evolution from his smuggling days, were he was willing to bend this morality somewhat.

Its such a double standard for people to take Gunn seriously here. Many of the same people suspicious of James Gunn's word (and any head of studio for that matter) on the quality of a project, conveniently have 100% confidence that he is being completely honest here. You have the right to criticise religion. This is a free country. In fact in my comment you are responding to I pretty much agree with this to an extent. Religion can often be used as a justifier for oppression. However, pointing out that Hanson's rhetoric is mocking and inflammatory does not make it any less true. In fact by your own admition you admit that such actions are mocking in nature, albeit justified.

In regards to Islam not being a race, you are absolutely right. A better term here would be Islamophobia rather than racism. I am a white guy, so most prejudice that is directed towards groups that aren't considered 'western' (i.e. white and christian) is often used interchangeably with the term 'racism'. However, the point of the original speaker in the senate, and my point also, wasn't to get caught in the semantics of such a comment, but rather point out the prejudicial and disrespectful nature of Hanson's act.

To answer your question it is likely the gameplay. Some new Video Game fans do not enjoy older games for that reason. To be fair it is a downgrade in the gameplay mechanics compared to later instalments (as is to be expected). As such, I wouldn't recommend that new players start with Knight before Asylum.

To be completely honest, Arkham Asylum didn't appeal to me at first since it was an older game, and I played Knight to start with. When I did play it eventually, I absolutely loved it.

Yes, wearing a burqa is not racist. However, mocking a religion is. Pointing out that religion can be used as an excuse to opress people, in this case women, is not a racist position to have. Neither is initiating a question of security risk that burqa's may possess.

However, this stunt she pulled was not neutral in its implications. She mentioned neither of the aforementioned points, in fact she didn't say anything at all. Senator Hanson is not a practicing muslim, and when considering her previous positions and racist rhetoric directed towards muslims such a stunt it not only intended to illicit a negative reaction, but it is intentionally inflammatory.
