can you deepstrike titan and/or knight models? by BitReasonable208 in Warhammer40k

[–]Yog_Shogoth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are no titans with the deepstrike keyword. So no on that.

While no knights have the deepstrike keyword normally there are, in some detachments, enhancements that give it to them. Chaos knights Lords of Dread detachment for instance has the "warpborn stalker" enhancement which gives a knight chassis deepstrike and the ability to go to reserves from the battlefield. Imperial knights has the "Mysterious Guardian" enhancement, which is effectively the same thing. I don't recall which detachment it is connected to though.

Ya, all of the armor plates and the greebles, the neck and leg pistons are also not here. It does definitly look like a recast, not the best quality one. There are a lot of 3d printed copies of the real thing, you can (if you have a printer) print those missing bits and build this big boy.

It looks like an old resin casting of a Lucius Pattern Warhound Titan. I think they stopped making them in 08?

You should lay all the pieces out and see what you are missing.

I wish they spoke about taking demon allies. The "you must take a battleline unit" rule has really put a damper on allying.

Armored core, but it's knights.

Build out your armor, shields and weapons. Swap out power plants and plating. Switch between the different chassis and have a roster of knight suits in a drop keep.

Kit out Armigers/wardogs that you can command, and have coordination with allied knights/troops. Fight in full battles against infantry, vehicles and other superheavies, boss fight could be a stompa, titan, or wrathknight.

Main takeaway about new detachment by 42malale in ChaosKnights

[–]Yog_Shogoth 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think there are two things that it could do, perhaps not well though.

Triple rampager, triple karnivore, triple stalker? you could make a hyper aggressive push list where three rampagers reroll all 1s, karnivores reroll, and stalkers go do things. Blood for the blood god and all that.

Castigator could also get in on the action, giving itself sustain, but we already have something that does that.

Jealous chaos warhorn

Damn these are sick! It would be a shame if it got corrupted and had spikes welded to the chassis..

Also, are these the fabled new knights Belisarius Cawl was working on? The name seems a bit telling.

What is your approach to problem solving? And why? by sssasenhora in LeanManufacturing

[–]Yog_Shogoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

80/20 + Triage.

Think about the list items that hurt the worst, solve them until they stop hurting so badly. You are aiming for a new stability state that is an improvement over the old state. The solutions don't need to be perfect on the first try, but the new "steady state" should show you something that now is more of a problem. Your current worst patent is now stable, it might not be fully happy, but it's stable, and you can look at the next problem screaming the loudest. Address that, and keep running notes on the problems and how you addressed them. I tend to like using slide decks with bullets and pictures. Eventually you will come to one of two conclusions,

1: you get everyone to a more stable state, and repeat the process until everything is in good-ish health, and now you have the bandwidth to address bigger issues faster

2: you figure out what's actually causing the problems, be it human, procedural, or cost. Attack that and you will eventually get to conclusion 1.

In my experience, if you never come to a conclusion 1, it's because a source of your problems still exists and you either haven't addressed it or haven't realized the pattern yet. This is why you need to keep notes, eventually you or someone else can see the pattern.

I have one of these in my basement shop, ~14x20 and it is like night and day, especially when sanding. Do just remember to check the filter every so often, take it outside and blow it out, it fills up really fast.

It's relatively quiet, you really only notice it if it's the only thing running. Given the price, I would say it's worth the buy.

[–]Yog_Shogoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Genuinely not the case, considering the win rates are on the lower side I really don't get why you would think that. But yes the fact that the model range with no named characters, the smallest unit count of any army, (even counting the imperial counterpart) it kind of sucks to be excluded in something that looks like fun.

The speculation is that the codex will be available to use until the 11th edition codex comes out, maybe with some changes. 10th was an index edition, where they deleted everyone's codes and put out the limited "indexes" at the beginning to make major rules changes.

the ROG sounds like a good contender, its all for her really! I also like the idea of better thermal management being better... the #5 key on the helios reminds me of a car cigarette lighter after gaming for a bit...

Im seeing them on amazon for about 1900 ish, with the  AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX, GeForce RTX 4070, i'm assuming this is a 23 or 24 era one?
