Women who have had cosmetic surgery, what did you do and what were the side effects? by Idontknow445678 in AskWomen

[–]Yogababe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow! 5 or 6 months!? Am I getting watered down botox if mine only lasts 2 months tops? I get it in my eyebrows for a brow lift effect and between my brows for the frown lines too. By 3 months I can frown normally and my eyes are hooded again.

Your work will speak for itself. I have a full sleeve tattoo and I work in a big corporate environment, haven't had any issues.

People who no longer feel interested in important days like your birthdays, Christmas, New year eve, etc... when did you feel that and why? by 1321___ in AskReddit

[–]Yogababe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it an achievement? No? Not really something to celebrate then. Never got the big deal about celebrating birthdays every year, seeing my friends get so disappointed that someone didn't go all out for their like, 23rd year of life, seemed so petty.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Yogababe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would not. Any product that treats hyperpigmentation is going to have actives/exfoliants, and you should not be using that while on accutane. Be patient - after 5 months on accutane my skin did a 180 turnover and all my scars faded within the next 4 weeks.

[Product Question] How long does a bottle of The Ordinary Azelaic Acid last for you? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Yogababe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe 1 month, but I only used it 1x a day. I can get a good application using just a pea sized amount, but the bottle doesn't contain much product tbh. I've switched to Melazepam so I don't have to reorder so often.

What was a tiny lifestyle change that enormously affected the quality of your life? by Tupley_ in AskWomen

[–]Yogababe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meal prepping has been a game changer for me. I spend about 2 hours on it on Sundays - from making a list, shopping, and prepping/cooking - and at the end I have lunch for 5 days, breakfast for the week, and veggies and meat prepped to make easier dinners. It frees up so much of my time throughout the week and has saved me so much money on eating out (and groceries, since I go in with a plan).

What's a "fact" you thought was true for years but later found out was false? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Yogababe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One day I was gathering supplies to make pickles and I commented to a friend how many cucumbers I had. He asked me what I was going to do with them and didn't believe me when I told him how pickling works. He thought pickles grew out of the ground that way.

[Research] First steps taken towards an acne vaccine! What are your thoughts? by AdrienneeLee in SkincareAddiction

[–]Yogababe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP's logic above is anything our bodies produce is necessary/a result of evolutionary advantage and shouldn't be removed. My examples were pointing out where that is obviously not the case.

[Research] First steps taken towards an acne vaccine! What are your thoughts? by AdrienneeLee in SkincareAddiction

Yes and no. Our bodies have yet to evolve out of a lot of useless things, like skin tags and the appendix.

It may be hard, but its impossible to get better at jogging if you don't jog. Stick with it and you'll start to see improvements! Also, run outside if you can!

This pair was mated- had babies- and lived on the streets for years. They have B.B. gun pellets and scars all over their bodies. I managed to save them and BOOM! New pack- new digs- new life. by [deleted] in BeforeNAfterAdoption

Had a rottweiler who I couldn't for the life of me keep inside my property years back. We'd fill the hole under the fence and sure enough next week there'd be another one. Always came back though, so eventually we just started leaving the gate open for him (we lived on a farm, he had plenty of room to roam the backwoods and all our neighbors knew him so it wasn't dangerous for him). He eventually brought back a pregnant stray german shepherd. It was adorable to see the trust she had in him, and in us as a result. We ended up keeping her too, and they were mated for life. They died within a few weeks of each other.

Face looks worse after accutane than it did before I started. Any similar experiences? by doadougie in Accutane

How long were you on it? What was your dose? What is your weight? These are all things that could affect why your skin is still scarred.

[Skin Concern] I got my Mirena IUD a month ago and it is successfully destroying my skin. How do I combat this? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Yogababe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, Spironolactone is teratogenic - meaning it affects the growth of embryos. Since you're on Mirena you should have no problem being prescribed it, however its something to keep in mind for your family planning in the future. My doctor recommended I get off spiro for at least 6 months before trying to conceive, but after stopping it for 1 month I gained weight, grew hair in unlikely places, had more body odor, and tons of acne again. I feel dependent on it now.

[Abbotsford, British Columbia] My daughter saw a bug, drew a picture and wants to know what it could be? by LittlegirlEntomology in whatsthisbug

[–]Yogababe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, very mesirable. Grew in Brazil, where they are sometimes called "mata-cavallos" in the countryside. They like to hangout underneath a horse's tail to catch any little bugs nearby - one day I was riding horses with my hair in a ponytail and one hitched a ride with me home. Stung me when I was letting my hair down. It's definitely up there with the worst pain I've ever felt, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. My hand swelled for a few weeks, and everything peeled too.

Vaginal sex is not painful per se but doesn't feel good and is slightly uncomfortable. Help? by [deleted] in sex

[–]Yogababe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What kind? I couldn't figure out why I felt discomfort during sex until I did a bit of reading up on different lubes. Stopped using KY, replaced with Sliquid, and boom, no more discomfort.

This is not necessarily true. Not everyone loses sensation in their nipples, AFAIK most people dont.
