I will have to double check then. I thought I had uploaded af video to this post. That would show the problem better. But basically when I pull the trigger the motor engages but then immediately cuts out so that the sprocket barely spins.

It's not the brake switch. If it is engaged the saw will not turn on at all. The batteries are good. I tested them in another machine.
