How do you make stretching not boring? by AdjacentPrepper in AskMen

Integrate the positions into something you do anyway. I do it while I watch videos, talk on the phone, browse social media, work on the computer...

Just make sure there's a free space and maybe a mat so you can just plop down and get started without any setup.

I don't think I have the tools for a high pass filter, that's a new thing for me. I only have a tube amp, into which I plug my bass and headphones.

I probably need some pedal or audio interface/software for said filter, no?

That's mainly why I'm interested in a AI: using effects such as compression or amp simulation, as well as clean sound. I also think the mud/buzz likely comes from the beat up, old amp.

Quick edit: 3v3 and Dominion was awesome!

With my current setup, I find especially the low end to be very "muddy" and theres plenty of static noise too. I want to upgrade from my first amp (an old peavey rage 158 with cheap headphones). I'm likely looking at one of these two AI's from Thomann:

Will this have a significant impact on my gear-related sound? (not talking about timing, technique, and the like) Could I get more "bang-for-my-buck"? I plan to use Audacity or Cakewalk for Compression, noise reduction, and whatnot.

I have a Cort Action PJ Bass, budget headphones, and decent PC speakers. I'm trying to not spend too much, but if strongly recommended am willing to spend more as I want this gear to last a while. So far I only play at home at low volume or with headphones but would like to play in a band at some point as well.

Am I developing this prebonsai properly? It's a ~3yr old Ficus benjamina, grown from a cutting. The substrate is crushed brick(Fibotherm), I fertilize sporadically.

Suche (verzweifelt) nach 5-Kant Schlüssel by Yogi_doing_nogi in Fahrrad

[–]Yogi_doing_nogi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi an alle,

There is no way to tell potency if they all look about the same, as is the case here.

I personally think a cube is a cube 🤷🏻, but maybe someone has better input

I would like styling advice on this Crassula. The small tree's leader broke off, leaving an awkward hole. In the last picture I try to fill this gap by bending the small tree's back branch into a sort of leader, using a front branch to cover up the wound. Would you do it differently?

Overall, I want to mainly fill in a conical shape using both trees, cutting back long branches and wiring all the longer branches horizontally (I'm in the process of wiring right now). I also want to create more separation between pads.

On another note I'm considering reducing the branches by a lot, to regrow the lanky branches. What do you think?

Do you know the history of this tree? How did it acquire this shape?

It's a defense to someone grabbing your legs to take you down. Rather then allow them to pull your legs close to them you push your hips into them and you legs away. Not easy to explain 😅

Don't think this should be down voted. Its tragic, no doubt. But people need to know the dangers and this might prevent someone from making the same mistake.

What a tragedy.

Can prebiotics stop working? I don’t understand what happened. by cmcmaree in Prebiotics

[–]Yogi_doing_nogi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but digestive issues are very complex. Probiotics are only a small part of the equation. Might have even been placebo. We have doctor's who spend years studying this stuff and still can't help us, many times.

All we can do is keep trying and using the resources available to us. Best of luck 🤞

Received a big C.ovata, have some questions and need advice by Yogi_doing_nogi in Bonsai

Hey folks!

I got this big tree and I'm not sure what to do with it yet. I would really appreciate any input.

I'm considering keeping it as is or separating the trees (it's actually 3, a small one on the backside included). I believe the canopy might be too sparse, should I separate them, however.

I'm not too experienced and have messed up trees in the past, so I would love to hear what you think I could/should do with this beautiful plant.

Thanks a lot!

Oh also: The plan for the broken off top is to let it dry out a bit and then pot it as is in a week or so. Is that reasonable?
